whoa whoa i was just bringing up one LB to respond to the assertion that we had none over the last few years. I am a Baker man, myself.

Minter is going to be remembered as a sleeper in this class. He reminds me a lot of Beckwith before all the injuries. He's explosive, and he diagnoses plays so quickly that it makes him seem even faster.

Comparatively, LB is one of our weaker spots, in my opinion.
Compared to WR, DL, DB, and RB where Louisiana as a state is normally strong? Yes. It's inline with QB, TE and OL recruiting where LSU has to venture out-of-state more to supplement the roster.
But the situation isn't as dire as it's made out to be. What's a top linebacker? Since people around here like rankings so much, is it someone that's top 10 at the position? Because since 2003, half of the linebackers LSU has signed have been ranked top 10 at the position by at least one recruiting service.

say we havent gotten a 5 start and you'd be right
Agreed. To say we haven't gotten any top LB recruits just because we haven't gotten any 5 stars doesn't paint an accurate picture. We also haven't gotten any 5 star OL's or DE's since 2003 either but our talent at those positions is undeniable.
It would be great to have guys like Jelani Jenkins or Jeff Luc but having three Ryan Baker's is more than enough to have a dominant LB core, IMO.

how much bigger has Baker gotten since last fall?

I am not going by rankings. I'm talking that Brandon Spikes that just takes over a game and makes a team game plan around that person. I understand LB is a hard position to change to in college, but I mean that freshman that comes in and just takes over in the game.
