Why do people immediately blame the coaches when something like this happens.
The kid was offered by LSU months ago. He did not take the offere despite being right here on campus where he could see everything LSU has to offer.
After a time LSU took commitments from kids who wanted to come to lSU and play on our DL. These kids took the spots open to Williams so LSU moved on. Obviously, Williams wasn't considered so good that he was a take no matter what as a Coloins was in 2012.
Williams finally has a change of heart and wants in, but his spot is gone. Sorry, that's how these things work.
Now Williams might be a topshelf player, time will tell. So could Neal and Patterson kids who fit the description of DE in our defense.
I can't fault Miles, if he waits on williams and passes on Neal or patterson, and Williams doesn't come to LSU; then we wind up with a last minute guy who isn't the talent these three kids are.
I can fault williams. He should have evaluated the offer LSU was giving him and jumped on the home town school. He may do fine at Bama, but over there he's not a hometown hero no matter what happens.
