Great job once again. 
I really liked Bateman's film when I watched it a month or so ago but I'm not a very good evaluator of QB film so I don't really know how much that means. I like that we're making an effort to land a top QB this year. Krags has really impressed me.
I hear Fanaika is coming in this weekend but I'm not sure how true it is.
I like Crayton and also like not seeing UF on his list at the moment. We seem to be in good shape with him at the moment.
I like Taylor but I'm just not sure if he's ever going to get big enough for DT. Some think he will and some think he won't.
I have no clue on Mcghee. You'd think if he had an offer we would have heard about it before now. Have never even heard of him to be honest and I keep up with our recruiting pretty closely especially the LA kids. His current offers are pretty impressive. I'll have to ask Shea,Sonny and Mike about him Complete mystery to me.
Stacey Thomas has impressive tools.
I would have to think Walker is a DT prospect for us but not entirely sure. I do know it's very likely he's UF bound. Legacy that they're on pretty hard and he loves them.
I have all but given up on landing Prevot. At this point I'm just hopeful we get a visit. He's Texas bound imo and soon.
Really like Gilmore but I'll wait until the fall to get excited about him liking us. Too much history of Clemson, UNC and UF taking the top NC kids. Like the early position though.
We'll see on Calhoun. DB spots have to be limited particularly if we land Jefferson and Diarse. Also have Perkins,Ellis and Woods plus the OOS kids battling for spots. Will be interesting
Chevis certainly doesn't seem to think his offer is at FB. I'm pretty sure the kid himself said we liked him at MLB. FB would make a ton more sense imo. I don't like him as a MLB at LSU and think it's a bad fit but FB I can understand.
Claiborne should already be a commit. Don't understand the hold up. Keep seeing size as the issue but it didn't seem to be an issue with Lamar Louis or Deion Jones. This kid can play. If the staff wants him, their actions and words lately seem to say they do, then they better get him on campus and get things straight. Canceled on him last week but no excuse now with the hire made. If he's a take then offer him before he goes elsewwhere. Likely we could flip him but this slowplay bit is gonna bite the staff one day.

I don't think he's narrowed it down at all. He said he's going to take visits this spring and summer and hopes to have a decision by the start of his senior season

Is it just me or is the Claiborne kid this years version of Otha Peters? LSU didn't offers Peters and I don't think they will offer Claiborne. I just don't think our coaches like the shorter type MLB.

If you look at the linebackers on the roster, they are not that tall. I think due to such a deep and talented LB class last year, the staff had the privilege to be picky at the position. Any other year, Peters would've most likely been a take but the 2012 class was littered with top notch LB prospects which is extremely rare.

I'm really disappointed that Claiborne hasn't been offerred. He's literally right across the river and his highlight tape is phenomenal ( check him out running away from Brazil ). He's got offers from all over the place and grew up an LSU fan. LSU just needs to show him real interest and offer him already.

Well the private meeting with the coaching staff that was supposed to have happened last week got cancelled. I think it was supposed to go something like, "Hey, I know you're bummed about not getting an offer after the Jr Day but we still like you a lot and an offer may be coming very soon depending on how you do in the next camp so there is no need to commit to anyone else yet".
Duke Riley got interviewed and basically said that Miss State became his new #1 because he didn't get an offer from LSU. The staff told him they were only taking one or two LB's this class.

I think they still had the meeting just postponed the original meeting. Pretty sure he would be committed to A&M if they hadn't had the meeting with him

Didn't see anything about a rescheduling of the meeting. I think he still feels some love from our staff and knows that LSU is a highly selective program. He seems to be taking it better than Ellis.

A&M is about to take chevis & hollins at lb. then, they will go to claiborne and say, we only have one spot left and it won't be available in june/july. maybe we turn him back but I think he commits to A&M if no LSU offer SOON.

all these guys think they are the best. so when LSU offers app. 15 instate guys then it is understandable that some guys are going to be upset. I don't think that means LSU needs to offer them but I also don't think the recruit has to wait. its a balancing act. you would love to go to LSU but can't afford to lose the 2nd best thing.

Well considering that 6 LB's were signed in the 2012 class and LSU is expected to make another national title run, the staff may have their sights set on a few elite OOS prospects to fill the 1 or 2 openings for the 2013 class. Right now, Claiborne hasn't shown that he is better than the other guys that the staff likes so he's gonna have to wait and prove it in camps and if that's not enough then on the field of play during his senior year. If he can't wait, then best of luck to him at option #2.
