We can have more than 25 guys. The magic number is the 85, not 25.

hearing rumors that LSU is the slight leader for Edwards, we definitely take Edwards, Howard or both, if they commit.

Where are you hearing those Edwards rumors?

Oversigning is frowned upon, in this establishment.

Various boards, Shaggybevo for 1. We also have the last visit, which speaks volumes. Maybe slight leader is too strong - we have as good a chance as anybody except, maybe, Texas.

Actually, the late interest by all these highly rated recruits is a nice problem to have--many schools would be envious about the Tigers. This is one of many good benefits from being unbeaten & ranked #1 most of the season.

Claiborne, Mathieu, and Logan were 3 stars ... to name a few. Gotta trust that the staff is seeing potential in these kids that others don't.

The Texas sites I trust are confident with Edwards but wary of LSU. Some of the other Texas sites are not confident at all with us in the picture.

You will see them take the schollies in state a lot slower next year to recruit more nationally...

I sure as hell hope not. Why would we change our approach now? If we start passing on in state guys to chase pipe dreams out of state, we open the gates for other schools to come in to LA and get a foothold.

All of a sudden kids that go off to UT, A&M, Ole Miss, etc come home in the offseason and talk to their old high school teammates about how great these other schools are and we end up missing on the next great local kid.

It's a slippery slope. Like others have said, we keep doing what we're doing, evaluating the local and key OOS guys, and when we do land that big OOS fish, we'll find room for them.

Lock down LA first, always.

How does our NCAA scholarship penalty of a couple of scholies impact the 25 player limit this year?
