Also, leave the girl alone.

Seriously, you people are some sorry, no life mofos if you start ragging young girl for this.

This is someone's daughter, sister, soon-to-be mother, etc.

This board amazes me sometimes.
You think this is bad, you should see the treatment Landon's Mom is getting from Bama.

Handled it the best way he can? Nothing could be further from the truth. Reposting from a previous thread:

It is clear to me that he decided well over a month ago what he was to do. It is also clear that the principal motivator for the decision was pressure placed on him by his girlfriend. I think it was most unfortunate that he and his gf staged this elaborate charade at the expense and embarrassment of his family, his community and the state who afforded him this opportunity in the first place. I have no problem whatsoever with him going to Bama. However given the high profile nature of his recruitment he should have just gone quietly (much as Kiel did). I also believe, as much as I hate to acknowledge this, that in the end the person who is going to get hurt the worst in all of this is his girlfriend.

I've also seen conversations going back months between both he and his gf and their Gump handlers making disparaging comments about the state of Louisiana. This whole episode was handled in as low class, tasteless, immature and disrespectful manner as one cold imagine.

Agree totally.

Either, he, the g/f, or both are sure to end up screwed in the end. Don't get me wrong. I remember the power of high school love. It is overwhelming, but the odds of neither of them cheating or moving on once in college is slim to none. The big question is, which one of them will later regret choosing to insult and leave family, friends, and the support of the home state? Landon or the g/f?
