They obviously want to push all the Toonces stock to be sold before they really start pushing the new logo. Basic Business 101. If they release merchandise with the new logo too soon, then they would basically be competing with themselves. Retailers would also be angry if they wound up stuck with a whole bunch of old crap when the new stuff comes out. You're 2nd and 3rd tier LSU fans will still be sporting "bran new" Toonces crap this upcoming football season and probably won't even know the logo has been redesigned. That's the "sucker" market.
