No evidence but strong confidence we close with 23-25, with one or two of those being regarded as the top remaining talent in the country.
Hey recruits!!...This is the LSU I grew up with.

What world do you live in? I am already thrilled with the talent level we have across the board.

You must not have followed this class until recently

It will be another fantastic class but this is just flat out wrong and Noil, Brown, C.Rob and Willis are exactly the reason why.

I dont want to point out to you the thousands of threads started on here about how this class was truly expected to finish because it's painful to look at now. A lot of the guys we thought were "locks" really just had no interest in coming here. This class will not close above expectations. I do believe we have some great players here (LF, TQ, CG, EP) and a chance at some great targets, but comparing that to thinking we'd get one of the greatest classes ever, (yes, that is what some people thought) is just not worth it.

I just looked at the recruits we have and believe it may very well be one of the best classes ever at LSU...
Brandon Harris, Buga, Quinn, and the others could launch this offense into places we have only dreamed about.
Then I look at the defense and it's just sick.
Great time to be a Tiger fan...

That's kind of a gross overexaggeration. Guys like Noil, Brown, Willis and C.Rob visited us A TON. For not having any interest in wanting to come here, they sure didn't show it.

Your positivity during the last month is greatly appreciated! There are some serious pusses around here. Keep it up! And I certainly agree that this is a great time to be a Tiger fan. Those that disagree likely weren't around prior to 2000.

This class isn't going to close above expectations because expectations were SKY frickING HIGH

It is rare to sign the undisputed #1 player in the country and still disappoint

I definitely have, but I would be much more concerned if we hadn't landed LF, CG, Paris, Adams, Quinn, etc... This is a stud group. I just hope they motivate and train for success. I believe Brumfield and La'El are just the duo to become leaders on the young offense, and I think the the talent in the backfield, along with our LB rotation will be plenty to cover any drop off in the DL.
Maybe I have purple tinted sunglasses on, but the potential is high, as usual.

Nobody is arguing that. Its an OUTSTANDING class.
But its not even possible to finish at a level higher than the expectations were for this class.

It's insane the recruiting talk we're hearing right now. Flips and potential flips all around. I love this job @JimmyDetail

It bothers me that we don't have 22 - 24 commits at this point. Miles & Co. do not have a good track record when they hold slots open expecting to get 6 or 7 NSD sigs. He will most probably get 3 or 4 of the 8 or so we are after. I will be very surprised if he gets 6.

we can finish with a class that ALMOST matches expectations. get dupre and jackson. adams>hootie,
jackson=noil, valentine=willis. we miss on cam. garrett=brown. this matches my expectations because it was absolutely stupid to believe we would get ALL the la. players plus paris, brown, garrett.
