I don't understand where any of you guys are getting this confidence.
Miami or Louisville.
There's been more rumors about Louisville than LSU.
Still a pipedream, IMO. We'll see what happens.

yeah Aba even posted that he talked with Teddy and he said he doesnt talk to LSU very much.
too me that a big sign that either we arent being aggressive with him or he isnt interested as much as people are claiming.
I am getting a worst feeling everyday about this and i am usually a big dreamer.

Recruits never give it away where they want to play. They are better at it, but what I've been told by Eli for awhile is the moment that he gets offered, it's a done deal

So we get TB contingent if we offer Eli, thast sucks but if OBj is willing to play DB where I like him best anyways. Than this makes good business sense to me.
Now the question to you. Will the staff offer Eli?

Doubtful

I think they finally do. Eli recently sent his 2nd set of senior highlights, and I think now Les & Co. wants to get that 3rd QB in their class

that was when we were trying to get Dak.
I think right now we're approaching the 3rd QB as an "if we can" mentality. It's not a need but we would like to sort of thing. Now that Dak has re-conirmmed to MSU, we're going to go out and try to land Teddy.

What i've read and seen on eli, he's one of those wr that isin't the fastest or biggest, just runs good routes, gets open and catches the ball. ala wes welker. i'd love to have him and bridge.

This is IHMO this is the first mistake our staff has made or you guys are putting more on to this than what it really is. We were on Dak hard for about 2 weeks. Les just went up to Haughton and gave him an offer.
If we backed off of Teddy to go after a committed player that would a grave mistake. 2nd if that did do thsi than that tells me what they truly think of TB and Eli. If we are able to say this on TD.com than our staff must be aware of the situation. They could have easily moved OBJ and offered Eli at a Talent rich position. But at all cost why would you ever back off of TB under any circumstances. After he decommitted from UM?
The only other thing i can see holding us back from offering Eli is its a numbers game and that we feel some of the major players we are in a good position with adn the Eli schollie doesnt fit.

Well, imo it's because if you take Dak you prevent MSU from having him too; a team in our own conference and division. If you take bridge, you get bridge but also MSU still has Dak.
So, I think the staff weighed their options on that decision.

No offense but that's such horrible logic it's hard to even respond to. If our staff truly does think like that then God have mercy on us. Not taking a 5 star QB because you want to keep a 3 star from going to Mississippi Fvcking State?

I don't know what's worse, the fact that this quite possibly be Crowton's logic (because he's that stupid) or that if this isn't his logic then he actually has Dak evaluated hire than Teddy. That deserves a double

with a

to you Crowton

First off, TB isn't a five star. Secondly, Dak had quite an impressive senior year, is much bigger, and has a lot of room for improvement.
There are some on here that say he has more potential than TB and should have been taken.
So, My statement above is if the staff had them evaluated as around the same potential level, they probably discussed the strategy above. How is that so far fetched?

He is depending on where you look (Scout). Most of us pay attention to Rivals for rankings but yeah, he's a 5 star.
Also, Arky guys were suggesting they were recruiting Mett simply to keep him from us, so it's not totally far-fetched. Silly but plausible.

There are people on here who are moronic homers and said that simply because they thought Dak would switch. There are people on here who have convinced themselves Spencer Fatass Region is better than Greg Robinson; they're just homers, ignore them.

In Arkansas' situation it's not crazy.
Mettenberger is an instant impact pro-potential QB who was looking hard at a top 10 team that's in your division and is a QB away from being a runaway NC contender. If I'm Petrino I'm trying everything in my power to keep Mettenberger from LSU. I'm not beating LSU anytime soon if they get good QB play.
In our case, we're trying to keep a 2-3 year project QB from the damn Bulldogs. Sorry, but the day Mississippi State starts affecting our recruiting strategy is the day changes need to be made. LSU can affect Arkansas, Ole Miss and MSU's thinking, but it shouldn't be the other way around.

My point exactly. Why woudl you ever slow roll TB. under any circumstances. We should have stayed on him hard even if we were going after Dak. Then if Dak pulls the rigger we tell TB we filled up he was too slow on his decision.
If the logic that we went after Dak and and slow rolled TB then no way to say it but we screwed up.
I hope we can get TB. but that technique in 2 weeks sounds crazy.

It's about time someone else sees this in him. Eli will not be a waste of a scholly I think, and like someone else said, it will likely put OBJ at CB, which is my preferred position on him as well. I think with Cooper getting his hands on OBJ, he will be one hell of a CB

I'm not encouraging anything Nancy. I'm just asking him questions based on the fact that he's already talked to guys on facebook.
I'm not totally comfortable with the facebook stalking either, and I certainly won't be doing it myself, but it's out there and I'll take all the information I can get.
