I was optimistic yesterday but not anymore. Both headed to Westwood. Don't know why distance is such an issue, but heard the same about Gunner Kiel.

So if they commit to UCLA, does that mean they didn't have "the chest" to play CB/S?

PAC 12 vs SEC team to choose. It would be a no brainer for me, but I don't live in AZ either.

Fwiw, Goodman posted a picture on Facebook announcing his announcement at 2:30 today with five school logos, 4 in the background and one in the center, overlapping the other ones.
The four in the back are OU, USC, UW and UCLA. The one in the center: LSU
I guess we made the hat table again.

Not sure about the distance thing with Willis. 6 hours away isn't exactly close. He probably flies home to Tempe from either L.A. or B.R. Goodman on the other hand is actually from California.

What baffles me is that these recruits can't see the position they are walking into:

1) UCLA is hoping to compete for a PAC12 title and still have Oregon, Stanford, and probably Oregon State ahead of them and most years USC. They will go to UCLA and be part of a rebuilding, not a NC team.
2) L.A. doesn't care about CFB. When they do, it's all USC, never UCLA. UCLA will always be second fiddle in CFB.
3) No home stadium, no sell outs.
4) Mora has 1-2 more good years before he is gone and heading back to the SE to coach in the SEC or back to the NFL.

on the flip side:
1) LSU will be competing for NC for the awhile with the current state of the program, especially with the current talent on the team, the 2013 class and the potential of the 2014 class.
2) LSU football is everything in BR and a fair portion of Louisiana. Those guys won't be able to go grocery shopping without someone recognizing them. They are the celebrities of BR.
3) Tiger Stadium
4) Our coach has been here for 8 years, has turned down at least 3 other offers from big-time schools and puts guys in the NFL. Our DC believes in recruiting guys to play right away and is putting players in the NFL.

If they were from L.A., I could understand, but when you look at both on paper, LSU >> UCLA in every aspect of CFB. Maybe I just have P&G blinders on.

Me thinks that picture is a very coy troll job by Mr. Goodman, but who knows.

Yep. The way these kids play games with moronic press coverage, I have little doubt he placed LSU in front ONLY for more drama. They are too stupid to realize if they had picked the school earlier, it would attract more talent and help recruiting. (if they know all along where they are going)
