Class of 23 QB from Huntington. Why is nobody talking about this kid? Excellent 6’3 frame with a cannon. Would be an excellent pick up behind Howard.

That big receiver looks good, too.

I watched him in a playoff game. Big kid, good arm, had kind of a short arm throwing motion. Big WR was good too, not real fast, but used his height to his advantage on the sidelines.

That's what I was thinking as well

On the OP, I don't think Evans is a QB you take as your sole QB in a class, at least at LSU, especially the first actual class under Kelly. Now, if you are going with a 2 QB class, Evans is the type you go after for that second spot.

Let's just assume we get a Dante Moore or Rashada or Vizzina for the sake of the argument, the problem is these recruits are going to want to start relatively soon. I thought Rickie Collins would be a great second QB (and he may move into a No. 1 option when all is said and done), but do you leave Purdue where you're more than likely going to start sooner or head to LSU where you have to compete with the Nuss and Walker Howards of the world, along with potentially a higher-rated QB in this class as well? You have to take someone like Evans, who is more than willing to potentially bide his time and still enjoy being at a school like LSU.

With the transfer rules the way they are and injuries, you need to take a QB that you can develop and have depth

This kid doesn’t even have profile nor a ranking on 247?

But I’d imagine Sloan knows about him. Has to be something missing there......

Two of his receivers signed with Tech. Sloan definitely knows about him.

These are the kids Evangel used to recruit. The fact that Huntington is in the same area as Evangel they would not have to sit a year.

Yep, the schools are literally less than 3 miles from one another. Evangel talent has dried up.

This was the video that first opened my eyes to the kid.

No rivals or 247 profile. Have read that Tennessee is on him.

Dang he looks good, I hope we push for him. Can't believe Huntington in my neck of the woods has D1 prospects.

ETA: A class with him and Collins would be great.

Wrong! Rivals does have a profile on him. He is listed as a 3 star pro style QB. He is 6'3" 200 lbs. Shows his top school interest is LSU.

Looks to me that he has a strong arm and good accuracy. He will only get better with another year of HS.

He’s very good. Currently quarterbacks the bootleggers north team. Huntington is a team on the rise. The freshman class has a couple of D1 kids.

Damn, did they film some of that from the Goodyear blimp? Some of that film looked like it was shot from the clouds.

Other than that, the kid looks to have a very nice release and pretty damn good accuracy.
