This is bullshite regarding having a commitable offer or not. If the kid has an offer, they have an offer. We only hear from the recruit claiming he has an offer. LSU NEVER states whether they have sent or given the recruit an offer.

When LSU makes a kid an offer, they send them an official letter in the mail. Somebody posted a bunch of official offer letters from a bunch of different SEC schools a year or so ago. It was kind of neat to read. Anyway, if he had a real offer, he would have an official LSU correspondence requesting that he accept the offer and it would be signed by Les Miles. In fact, I think a good portion of the letters that were posted had personal notes written by the head coaches.

agreed totally. the only reason this thread is still around is because a lot of people (including the OP) have no clue how recruiting works.
