Maybe it's just me, but it seems like most here are overwhelmingly always optimistic about the recruits from texas signing with LSU. Louisiana has been and probably will always be full of football talent that's as good as any other state, including Texas. Les Miles should take a close look at what he's doing in regards to quickly signing recruits from Texas and other states. All the talent LSU needs is right there in Louisiana

you could fill all the positions, but he wants the best and i guarentee you there are some better recruits out of state.

If that were true then LSU would have had QB's from Louisiana for both of its recent championship seasons. Which Louisiana high schools did Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn attend?

just the sheer population difference invalidates this statement because Texas has more talent because it has more people.

where are all of our o-linemen (esp. starters) from, not very many that went to high school in Louisiana. Louisiana produces a lot of talent at a lot of different positions, but o-line is generally lacking in this state.

if we actually have a chance to land the top talent in the country (which we do), then why not go after players that are better even if they're from out of state?

Some of our linebackers as well tend to be from out of state.
