Psst, Michigan hasn't played yet this year in the playoffs but since you already have them "getting clapped" in the playoffs, I guess the Alabama game should be cancelled huh? BTW, everyone keeps bringing up Alabama and Georgia and don't mention coaching. Also, Ohio State is near the top of recruiting rankings every year but how are they doing most years even getting into the playoffs?

BTW, the secondary class for LSU is going to be fine. But once again, I don't have a crystal ball like you do but I will make my prediction. Once again, you just worship the ratings. And Daniels' LATEST rating was the transfer rating MADE by 247 huh? They had him a LOW 4*. Spin it like you want but the fact is he was NOT highly regarded as a transfer. They MISSED badly on Daniels' ranking.

Seriously man, you just bring up Kentucky and Wisconsin out of the blue. I realize you don't think coaching matters both at head coach and assistant coaches. Oh, and BTW, I will pull Ohio State out of the hat. Ohio State year in and year out is LOADED with 4* 5*. How are the Buckeyes doing on the national stage?

Because they run up against a team with as many four and five stars as them.

Been reading posts for years but just registered. "All I can stands, I can't stand no more." - Popeye First, on the falsehood that teams have to finish top 5 all the time to play for NC. Hmmmm, then why has Michigan made the playoffs 2 years in a row with classes of #17, #9, #13, #10, and #8?

Since stars don't matter, let's just recruit two star players.

1 national championship in ALL the years that OSU was near the top of the recruiting rankings. You should have just left that alone...your stat proved NOTHING! As far as a ban bet, typical overreaction for a guy who isn't doing well in the debate. Plus, after your posts, I wouldn't trust you to either leave NOR would I trust you not to just simply reregister. Try posting better in the future!

First, Michigan hasn't had a class rated higher than 8th in the last 5 years of recruiting....yet 2 straight years in the playoffs. Second, never said that stars don't matter. I said it wasn't as important as some think they are. Once again, how has Michigan beaten Ohio State the last 3 years in the Big 10 since Ohio State has been out-recruiting them badly!

When you stop and think that only 4 other teams have won a Natty since then, yeah, that’s good win.

Oh, weird, the other 4 teams have top recruiting classes. How fricking crazy

I understand now...you can try to support your statement with Alabama or Georgia but my examples of Ohio State not getting to the playoffs/championship game that much and Michigan getting there with NO Top 7 classes in the last 5 years is not valid.

BTW, how did Washington beat Oregon twice? Last 5 classes 247 composite rankings. WA 26, 95, 30, 16, 15. OR 9, 13, 6, 12, and 7. In fact, the Huskies should be barred from the playoffs...recruiting not good enough!

You can play this game all day, but we have had several 5 stars and highly rated 4 stars live up to their hype. Missing on highly rated recruits is not a good thing.

5* bust are about as common as 2* mo Claiborne’s and 3* tyrann mathieu’s, imo. Good 5*’s are more good than bad. This is a cope argument (op).

There are a million 2 stars. That’s an impossible statistic for you to give an opinion on hahahaha. Name some 2 star heisman and biletnikoffs.

Name a 2 star Butkus. Point me to a dominate college team full of 2 stars.

Idiotic take by OP

Wow, once again all you can do is call names like stupid and idiot! I didn't recognize you as a POS poster but obviously that is all you are! Oh, and Einstein, I NEVER mentioned a 2* player, not once. Now, all of a sudden you fill your posts with 2* this and 2* that. You are an a-hole troll! Pretty obvious! Once again, Michigan has beaten Ohio State 3 times in a row with a MUCH WEAKER recruiting history. Washington beat Oregon twice this season with a MUCH weaker recruiting history. OBVIOUSLY, there is more to football success than SUBJECTIVE rankings by 3rd party recruiting services! {mic drop}

Oh, just noticed you are a ULL fan...now everything makes sense! You ARE an LSU troll!

Probably because they aren’t playing multiple teams that finish in the top overall in recruiting every single year to try an even make the playoff

Doesn't explain why Michigan keeps beating Ohio State nor explains why Washington beat Oregon twice. The recruiting rankings by the services don't have Michigan near Ohio State nor Washington near Oregon and this has been going on for years. Once again, if 4* and 5* was the be all and end all, these outcomes would be reversed.

Ohio State 1 NC in last 20 years...Michigan 0. LITTLE difference. And OSU's recruiting rankings over last many years. 4, 4, 2, 5, 14, 2, 2, 4, 7, 3, 2, 5, 6, etc, etc, etc. Hmmm, guess all those 5* and 4* didn't do it, huh?

You are comparing 2 teams head to head. The SEC has 10-11 teams in the Top 25 in recruiting every year and Bama,Georgia,Texas A&M in the top 5 most years. Law of averages says to be successful in the SEC over the long haul you prolly need to consistently be near the top in recruiting. Texas A&M,Bama, and Georgia have gotten a combined 28 5stars in just 2021 an 2022 classes. LSU has gotten 3 total in that span. That’s a huge difference
