I did this for the Under Armour game, so I figure I will do it for the Army Game. I might miss some stuff so feel free to leave anything below that I missed. Sorry if it’s very long in advance. ETA: Really not to bad of a read.

LSU Signees.

Most LSU guys were on the West Except for LS Quentin Skinner who played on the East.

East wins the game 48-14. This was no indication on the LSU players. Overall our baws did really well. The West coaching was god awful. Some West DB’s were giving up long shite the entire game. To bad Stingley wasn’t out there.

- Marcel Brooks. OLB. I won’t try and sound bias here, because he’s my best friend, but I thought he looked the best out of our players today. He was flying all over the place. Making tackles everywhere. Had one violent sack that was really impressive. Had one play where he destroyed someone. One play where he read a HB screen perfectly, and got a tackle for no gain. He had one bad play where he missed an outside tackle on a QB run, but with another 10-20 pounds they will put on him, he doesn’t miss that tackle. It’s clear he can play OLB if he wants to even at 200 pounds right now.

- Kardell Thomas. Overall played a good game. I don’t remember him giving up a sack, or his guy getting in the backfield at all. He will shed some weight, and be an animal at LSU.

- Siaka Ika. Man he’s huge. He can play at this weight if he wanted to. He was mauling dudes everywhere. If nothing else he could just be there and take away ANY inside runs. He had a play where he nearly blocked a PAT, by just busting through everyone. His best play was seriously taking down Trey Sanders the #1 RB in he country down with 1 arm. He’ll be a stud.

- Tyrion Davis. I only recall him running the ball, once or twice. Poor arse West coaching. Spencer Rattler their QB refused to run the ball, really pissed me off. On his one run he had a really solid 8 yard pickup. He’s really quick, and fast for his size. Blocking was nice out of the backfield.

- Charles Turner. I’m not here to bash any guys. It could have been a bad game, but he was really poor today. He had a holding penalty that cost his team. He had a horrible snap from 5 yards away from scoring that ultamitly could have cost his team a touchdown. He’s very small, and this could have been the reason. He moves well, but he needs to gain a lot of weight, before getting significant playing time IMO.

- Quentin Skinner. No errant long snaps, always a plus.

- Derek Stingley. Let’s not forget Derek Stingley was already practicing with the big boys, and wasn’t there. He would have taken away a side of the field I’m sure.

Some notes on a few other players.

- Grahm Mertz QB for Wisconson. Glad we won’t have to play him. MVP of game with 5 touchdowns. He’s gonna be a good one.

- Jaden Haselwood WR commits to OU during the game. He’s going to be a stud.

- Marcus Banks Bama DB. lmao... gave up 2 HUGE bombs in the game. One was a long Haselwood touchdown, the other probably a 50 yard grab.

- Garret Wilson WR Ohio State. Had 2 monster touchdown grabs. He’s gonna be a good one.

- Jacqueline Roy our 2020 DT commit dominated when the Juniors were out there yesterday.

Going through some commitments.

Athelete Bru McCoy, WR Kyle Ford both to USC.

WR David Bell to Purdue.

DB Chis Steele to Florida. Said they are “The Real DBU” lmao. Never liked him. Always played with staffs. Was a silent to LSU, while he was a silent to like 5 other schools.

DB Tyrique Stevenson to UGA.

WR Jaden Haselwood to OU. OU jumps our class to #4, and we move to #5 as of now. I still think we finish #3. OU this year may have the best passing attack I’ve ever seen from a class. QB Rattler, TE Stogner, WR Wease, WR, Haselwood, WR Bridges. Sounds like they want as much stats as they can get...

Alabama gets DB Marcus Banks, and DE Khris Boyle.

They never did coverage on LSU guys, and we had the #4 class going in with like 6 guys out there. Kind of made me mad.

2020 CB Dwight Mclothern never announced. He’s a huge troll.

What Bama’s class means for our class. They have a full class now. They could push some guys out if they wanted.

I will say we get Devonta Lee, and Sopsher’s for sure at this point. After Bama’s commits today, we could make a push to flip CB Christian Williams, DE Byron Young.

Assuming we sign Parker, and Hampton which shouldn happen.

22. Lee
23-24. Sopsher x2
25. Expecting this to be Williams, Young, Pickens.

Sorry for the long arse post just covered a lot of info.

I agree we should finish 3.

Also pissed off they didn’t show our guys on a clip with so many there.
Wonder if they were mad because Stingley shunned them?

Aside from Ika being way better than I anticipated, this is the best news I've heard all day.

I also think Brooks was the 4-5th most impressive prospect overall in the game. With many of the top national prospects playing, this should warrant him a top 10 or 15 ranking. He and Ika should both get bumps. I could see Davis getting one, too...he's very impressive.

When you say bama is full, are you counting 25 or 28? They had three spots they can count back to last year.

Thanks bud and I know Brooks is your boy but you're not being bias. All I've read nationally was that two people this week looked out of place. One was a 275lb DLmen who signed with Bama and the other was Marcel. I can't wait to see that kid play in person. Everything I read from this week said that those two looked like they were playing against under aged kids on the field and were faster and hit harder than anyone there this week. I expect Marcel will make a big jump if there is a final ranking coming out.

Snippet from a Bama recruiting expert Tim Watts

"The magic numbers looks to be 5 more signees. There are 4 current commitments who have not signed (Bogle, Williams, Young, Robinson). I don't think Christian Williams will end up in this class. He's been taking visits elsewhere and UA/ Williams seem to be drifting apart.

"So that leaves two spots if Robinson, Young and Bogle sign based on my math.“

Hm. Not sure what to believe. All I have heard is they can get 28, which is what they are at now. They could lose Williams, Robinson and Young though. Which would open it back up.

On Marcel Brooks, Im in Dallas and saw Brooks play 3x plus the Nike opening. He jumps out as the best athlete no matter who's on the field with him. Another day at the office for him.

Byron young looked good. Could use him immediately on the DL. Hope him & Ish come to B.R. with bama getting banks, bogle & soon the LB To'to'o

I know it's a game that doesn't matter pretty much at all but seems like Thomas needs improvement in pass protection.

But I have NO DOUBT that he'll get it down and be one of the best (if not THE best) LSU OLineman ever!

With Ika...if we can just get either Young or Sopsher I'd be happy.
