So is the automatic Alabama ranking bump only common knowledge to the TDRB?

As long as bama performs the way they have under Saban I don't have a problem with their players getting a bump in the recruiting ratings.
Seems their recruiters are pretty good at evaluating talent.

I used to get Rivals news on my Facebook feed but I noticed after I looked back for several months there was not one positive article on LSU. This was when we were getting a lot of big commitments but the only thing they reported on was the arrest of our players.
So when fans talk about the talent Bama has brought in the past few years, I just roll my eyes.

I dont agree. Bama is a program that sends blanket offers to kids who typically are already established and heavily recruited by other schools that have a reputation of finding talent, LSU being one of them. just take a look..Matt Womack and Rahssan Thornton (asked to attend bama camp after his commitment) to name the more recent examples.But at the end of the day it works for them.. but either way finding talent that has been untapped isn't their thing.

Nah... All I'm saying is that it is a real phenomenon and that it doesn't bother me.
Even if it did rustle me, there's nothing I can do to change it, so there's not a whole lot of sense in letting it get under my skin.

you could also argue it is a biit of a positive. it adds to the expectation level and givens them a sense of enttitlement, espeically if a guy is being "over rated" because he committed Bama.

Yes. The rest of the country is delusional. If you hear the same thing over and over, you start to believe it. Of course, if a bama player decommits, then their star rating drops one star so as not to look as though the gumpers lost anyone important. I've seen this happen over and over.
