It's 2016, you can't have too many DB's.

Saivion may be a FS. We need more corners.

we only have 1 on campus so far.. (not counting Greedy just yet.. even though he's 100% it seems)

carter is still not a given, nor is anyone really.. so yeah.. we can use all the great corners we can get..

any ways, not that any one ever cares but it's Saivion

also, not that anyone cares, Kevin's last name is Toliver (one l, not two)

I am actually anti-grammar correcting. I am not perfect either, but I like us to at least spell our players names correctly (if possible) So this is somewhat of my mission.. Carry on.. and

Carter would most likely be a take at safety

If that were to happen, we would be absolutely stacked at DB next year and for years to come.

Just spit balling here -

Adams and Battle at Safety backed up by Jefferson, Monroe, Carter and possibly Paris if he moves to safety.

Tre white and KT2 at CB backed up by Fulton, Xavier Carter, Gage, Mullen..

Donte Jackson and Saivion Smith as the Nickel/Dime backers

That is insane.

Eta: forgot about greedy at CB

What??? You take every great player you can. Depth, some don't work out. If all do, that's even better.

You address needs then take the best players. LSU NEEDS at least 2 QBs, at least 3 LBers, a running backing and at least 2 Olineman.

Regardless of you got in the last cycle, you don't turn down kids like Deangelo Gibbs, Jacoby Stevens or Shawn Wade. You gotta take guys like that. Put them on a practice field and let them sort it out. Steel sharpens steel.

In modern spread offense times, you can never have enough good dbs. Defences are running more and more nickel and dime packages, and less traditional 4/4, 4/3 base defenses as a result. 3/4 is popular against the spread being it allows you to have more dbs and even cheat a safety in as one meaning 5 dbs. 20yrs ago a 3/4 would have gotten destroyed.

You can never have too many 4-5 star dbs in the stable. They work great on special teams too.

What? Let's look at who runs the 3-4 best - Alabama. What does Alabama do better than anyone else- atop the power run. What did every team want to do 20 years ago- power run. Ala Nebraska. With the right players and a coach who knows what he's doing, the 3-4 is down right filthy. But you have to have corners that can play on islands.

Check your math buddy. You can only field 11 guys. Nickel is popular for the reasons you stated. 3-4 is popular against the spread running teama because you put 5 guys on the LOS and you can contain off tackle runs with a dominant Nose.
