Can LSU pressure borderline recruits by offering scholarships that expire at the end of the early signing period? Or, is a scholarship offer good until rejected by the recruit?

It seems we should do this with recruits that do not want us recruiting other players at his position, but then refuses to sign early because he is not ready.

First come, first served with very few exceptions.

It’s not for pressure you a hole, it’s realistically filling roster spots with people who are actually ready to put in work. If a recruit says he’s coming, no reason to wait.

Like in any other negotiation this depends on who is holding the bargaining chips. The 5 stars can do it on their own time table. The marginal prospects must do it on ours.
