Good luck to Chris Briggs. Sure wish he was part of the LSU class. Sucks that we don't have a tall big bodied physical receiver for this class.

I like Briggs but just didn't think he would have been very much here. That being said he could go to USM and get a lot more touches early on and could develop nicely.

I'm hearing from member of fhs coaching staff (who has been with briggs + coach smith within last hour) that he did not commit yet + he is still deciding between usm + minnesota.

No shite. Heard this hours after rivals update. Rivals says they got info from smith. FHS D-coordinator says he talked 2 both + rivals article is BS! Hope he chooses minn 2 show rivals is full of shite!

Prolly so but his uncle is jake reed who played for vikings. Yeah these seniors had unreal careers! Twice to the dome + i dont recall ne getting n2 ne serious trouble. R great athletes used 2 run from law more than on field bak n early 90's when i went there!

This was expected. Talked to a co worker the other day that knows the family pretty well. He said that him and his family really liked his recruiter from USM and they promised him playing time early on. Its a good fit for him. Although I think he could have developed into something special at LSU, the deck would have been stacked against him.

I actually was a big fan of this guy, I think we could of used his size eventually. But can't blame him for not waiting around and doing what he needs to do, good luck to him, should be a hell of a player for a pretty solid program
