Hey jackass, why don't you worry about people near you leaving the state? McKnight and Collins are the two biggest shafts we have gotten in recent memory, and neither is from north Louisiana. Have you ever even been to Shreveport for any extended period of time? If so, you would know it is LSU country up here. Evangel has been a powerhouse for LSU in recent years. And you sprinkle in a the few from byrd and Woodlawn, you have Shreveport all going to LSU except for Davis. He was scared of the better players, knew he couldn't hang with the likes of this deep class of lbers.

Terry Bradshaw was coming the lSU and flunked the entrance exam (on purpose ) he wanted to go to tech.

I know you heard him say it, but I don't think that is true from what I've heard.

So in 1960 LSU could not get Terry Bradshaw into school? The only way the best QB in Louisiana does not go to LSU is because he did not want to or another school paid him to go somewhere else.

If you guys don't believe in that day and time this could not happen then you would not have gotten into LSU.

Not sure about the year just think it was the 60's

come on guys he wanted to stay close to home.

I'm sorry, you must have misinterpreted me. From what I've heard he wanted to go to Tech. He liked the passing offense and coaches. For some reason he just keeps coming up with excuses about grades and tests of why he didn't go to LSU. When he was broadcasting the Sugar Bowl he was saying he he didn't get high enough on the ACT or something that they didn't even have at that time. I believe you, if grades had been the problem, LSU would have found a way to get him in.

Toshiro Davis was a loss, folks.
Don't diss his abilities based upon his poor decision.
He had the ability to be one of, if not the biggest impact player(s) in this class, IMO.

If Shreveport is in East Texas, please tell the tax folks in Baton Rouge to quit sending me tax forms to fill out and quit taking state taxes out of my paycheck please....

How many country clubs did those Desoto Parish idiots have to pass up to get to Shreveport Country Club?

I am split on Shreveport. From my experiences there it just didn't feel as pro LSU as the rest of the state. Doesn't mean there aren't plenty of LSU fans there but there definitely seemed to be a different feel regarding LSU than other parts of the state. As for the recruiting aspect in my time following recruiting things have not been easy for LSU with the top guys in Shreveport. I don't know a ton about kids before 2006 because that's when I got into recruiting heavily. I just know that even though we landed Rasco last year it was not an easy win by far. The kid had strong forces pulling him away from LSU. Up until the last 2 months of his recruitment we were trailing and maybe even longer than that. The winning formula was because of the respect and admiration his mother had for Brick Haley and Les Miles. If not for that Rasco would've been at FSU or Texas. Davis also fell victim to strong forces pushing him away from LSU. Both could be isolated incidents but 2 years in a row at 2 different schools seems like a bit of a problem.

I respectfully disagree. I travel there a lot and I think S'port is only behind BR in support of LSU. Almost every car you see has a LSU sticker. You walk into a store on gameday and everyone is wearing LSU stuff.
