You posted Addai as a "4.55-4.6" before the combine
no i didn't. i figured he'd run a 4.38 as reported. sammich, i said IF he ran a 4.5-4.6, he'd fall hard. he needed that sub 4.4

then repeated it with Laron Landry when you were blowing the Nelson kid
laron surprised everyone, including laron (he only ran once, remember?)

you can tell a legit speedster, which a 4.40 guy is (like percy harvin or maclin). does this kid look anywhere near that fast?
The difference is in the mentality. Rb's like Harvin think of one thing...straight line picking them up, putting them down and going house. Qb's, especially option, tend to be gliders who think more about pitching out, getting a first down and protecting the rock so they're normally at 75-80% of speed. Put the kid on the 40yd sprint with no worries and he could easily be a 4.4 runner. It's all about priorities.

I got 20 more, if you continue to lie. Your Thunderdome pals: pederast Maxipuss & Derby Dumbass won't be pleased with your continued :fail:.
He you are in 2008 on Addai:

slow down
the combine brought addai from a 3rd round pick to the last 1st (4.38 40, did really well in the blocking/receiving drills, measured up at 217 or so). game film showed a less-explosive runner who was always hurt and was never a #1 guy for a full year

he is an upright runner who looked to be bout 200 lbs running about a 4.6

did addai ever look like a sub 4.4 guy while at LSU? not to me
awesome.

where was i wrong?
was he ever a #1 guy for a full season?
was he often injured?
did he ever break off long runs consistently?

this is not about you having a subjective stance on joseph addai. this is about you thinking you can judge speed to a tenth of a second based on grainy film. and about you clearly contradicting yourself.

does gibson look like an SEC WR, speed-wise, in these films? let me just ask that
i've said from the get go that he looks like he could bulk up a big and move to OLB, maybe a slow SS
i'm not hating on the kid, but this "4.4" nonsense needs to stop. percy harvin runs a 4.40. remember that

see why didn't you try this to begin with?
I'll say that judging who and who isn't a 4.4 guy is very difficult. Even more difficult with grainy footage. And even more difficult for guys that are above 6' 2" because of the long strides.
I'll agree with you that i doubt he's 4.4. Mostly because I'm skeptical of all 40 times. They're almost always exaggerated.
I think the kid looks like a great athlete. Beyond that i don't see how you can make definitive statements based on that footage.

this is what i said:
quote:
he just doesn't look fast. i don't see WR or S in those vids. he doesn't even seen that fast for an option QB
it will be interesting to see where he ends up
my earlier comments (in his commit thread) said i thought he'd end up at OLB

what does this have to do with it? you see his speed relative to the rest of the kids on the field and the yard markers. either he plays in the most athletic high school conference ever, or he's not a 4.4 kid
quote:
that are above 6' 2"
if he's listed 6-2 in high school, he will not be "above" that listing

6A Bama is pretty stout, they've won state the past 3 years and beat Hoover in 2 of those.

I just watched the youtube videos. He does look a lot better, but I couldn't actually see the ball.
His film on rivals does not look nearly that good.
