LSU stopped recruiting him many weeks ago no might be true. Sounds like UGA lock.

Yeah he dropped LSU and then added the Ole Miss visit a couple of days ago.
Hes going to UT, so the Ole Miss boards should not be getting all fuzzy over it

I don't know about not good, but he is extremely raw; but has huge upside.

He's not going to Tennessee
It's between Georgia and Ole Miss. His grandmother and dad come to every game he plays. Oxford is 80 miles away. Georgia is like 300+. Plus, he's got a proven QB to throw him the ball and increase his NFL stock for the next two seasons. He said the Cotton Bowl really turned his head.
There is a good chance that Marlon Brown could be a Rebel.

No link.
Per sources in Memphis. He's going to choose between Georgia and Ole Miss.
Tennessee doesn't have a proven QB. Jevan Snead and Joe Cox are better options right now than Jon Crompton/Nick Stephens

UT is putting out the full court press on Brown. I think it's UT and UGA. Bigger programs, more fans, more exposure.
I think the staff at UGA will have appeal with Brown and his family because of the way they treat their players. Brown goes to a very strict Christian school in Memphis (as I mentioned in a previous post). My nephew is good friends with one of the big FCA guys in town and goes to a lot of games with him. I know he went to at least 2 of Brown's games at Harding this year. I asked my nephew what his friend and the coaches said and he told me that everyone says Brown is a really good kid. He is very down to Earth and comes from a Christian family. Richt and most of his staff are strong Christians and I think this will carry a lot of weight with Brown and his family in the end.

Obviously OSU fans are biased but people say that Brown and Berry have good relations. Also, Pryor has been working hard to bring this kid in.
I would like to see him in Scarlet and Gray but it'll be a tough pull from the south.
Misey, have you heard anything about him being close with Tressel. I feel like being religious etc. would definately make him a good fit with Tressel but I'm just a wishful thinker haha

You may think Tennessee is a player but they are not going to ink him.
Regardless of what you think about Nutt, he's very family oriented. He's a player's coach. I'm not saying Brown will ink with Ole Miss but I will say it's closer between Ole Miss and Georgia than it is between Tennessee and Georiga.
Tennessee has an unproven head coach, two unproven QB's, and an unproven team. The "bigger program" I'm sure is attractive but the kid wants a chance to increase his NFL stock and play close to where his father and grandmother can see him play.

Sources from Memphis say that it's between Georgia and Ole Miss. I honestly cannot give you a definite link or source but that's what we're hearing.

Cool, is he a letter of intent day guy, or will he make his choice known earlier?
Posted on 1/12/09 at 4:16 pm to Buckeye06
He'll make a decision on signing day

I haven't heard anything specific about Nutt, Tressel, Richt, etc. I'm just saying that UGA is a big time program, has a big stadium, gets on TV a lot, and has a penchant for wide-open passing offenses (Green, Shockley his senior year, Stafford). They also have a coach who is a very good recruiter, but is also a strong Christian. I'm not saying that Nutt isn't, but no other coach is as "famous" for it as Richt. He is so well known for his Christianity that he did a cameo in the Christian football film "Facing the Giants" a couple of years ago. I'm sure that reputation caries some weight with the family.
By the way, that's a good flick if you are a Christian football fan.
