here is a message for the gumps.
How can any bammer say that LSU is going down hill?? In 04 (the yr after we won the NC)
SABAN'S team, lost 3 games that yr with a SR. QB Marcus Randell, Soph. QB Jarmarcus Russell, and Fresh. Matt Flynn. LSU came into this yr. with 0 QB's with ANY playing experience. Yeah, its a down yr for us, but Lee is probably going through the best way to learn, for next yr. when we compete for the SECC again. So, frick off bammer, go back to jerking it to your poster of Saban.

quote:I guess i should be sorry for stating my opinion. All the top recruits in la commited months ago. I think your brother is a AMAZING athlete and lsu would be VERY happy and lucky to get him. I just feel he's not going here. I hope he does of course. Alot can happen between now and then. Feels to much like the mcknight situation to me. I don't know but i would have a good idea where i am going if i was going to spend the next 4 to 5 years at a school and have 2 months to make a decision. but he's not telling and lots of recruits do it. Maybe he wants to play quaterback?? I don't know. But I still think i am entitled to a opinion i hope. Everything to me says he has other plans. and no I don't have the faintest idea where he is going, but i still don't think it is here.
oh really, you have no doubt in your mind? wow thats funny. maybe you should call and tell him
Just a hunch ok?? No hard feelings please with anybody, can we all just get along.
I really like hearing you on here. And hope we can talk. He does have alot of things going for him if he chosses to come here and it's actually a long list from friends and family to playing time etc.
just wanted to clear that up

We just don't have the talent yet. It's coming. If Rueben comes to Bama, we will be back in the National Championship chase in 2 years.
Talent? So 11-0 and ranked #1 with 1 game to go in the reg season with no talents? He must see the writing on the wall...Bama's smoke and mirrors will come to an end when they get rolled by Florida.

bama fans refuse to give any credit to shula, he recruited well at Alabama, just couldn't coach, their hard on for Saban, is out of this world.

It's a little funny that Bama fans are coming to an LSU recruiting board to predict the wonderous future for Bama in an attempt to sway the brother of RR.

does anyone here really think he doesn't know where he is going to go.
Yes. Is it so hard to understand OR believe that this kid doesn't know where he is going? If I were him and I were going elsewhere,I would NOT commit until NSD....prolly. BUT, I am not this kid. He seems to have his shite together and appears to be concentrating on his current football season and school work. He is NOT, I repeat is NOT your typical athlete, or at least doesn't appear to be from what I've read. He does NOT appear to be dragging this along for the press clippings. I , for one, applaude the way he is handling this. Having said that, I'll be EXTREMLEY disappointed if he doesn't go to LSU. However, until he decides, I'm gonna....

I love how all of you guys think that saban regrets leaving LSU. If he loved it so much there he would have stayed! I think he is really happy at Bama because he is treated like roaylty. When we lost to ULM last year i didnt see anyone leave the game till the game was over. If randle is smart hed realize bama is on the way up and lsu on the way down. and all i know is this bama team has very little talent and saban is winning. its going to be scary tiger fans if hes here 10 years. real scary

Good for you! I'm sure it must be difficult to go thru this as a family (AND a recruit) and try to leave it completely up to a teenager to make such a difficult decision. I gotta admit that I'm not much of a U of M fan, but I'd rather see your brother at Miami than to play for Saban. Yes, he turned this team around. But he appears to have about the same amount of morales as CUM. But to have enough and stand up against someone like U. Meyer when you're "trying" to stay as neutral as possible, well.....Kudo's to ya man.
I also have a serious question for you. Do you feel like you also have grown as a person throughout your brothers recruitment process? You just sound a bit different than you did months ago on here......just wondering. Maybe I'm over-thinking things. I just know I MUCH, MUCH prefer reading your posts now. I guess all the arse kissing doesn't seem to be quite as prevelant as before; maybe it's just me, maybe I'm just getting used to it.
Anyway, good luck to Bastrop and your brother!

That's just it. It's MOSTLY what he did to/while at Miami.....after what he did when leaving LSU. Well, sure we're still pissed he left AND that he went to SEC West rival. BUT, you take his whole body of work, (though he is a terrific recruiter and a great coach) I don't think that much of him as a person. He comes off as an arrogant prick; and a selfish one at that.
While not arguing that Miles is a better OR worse coach, from what I've seen and read, he is a TERRIFIC person who cares about the TEAM first. I TRULY believe that.
Yeah, I gotta admit, their's a lot of teenage....."I'm pissed 'cause he left us" stuff going on. But really, really deep down; I believe deep down in my heart that Les is a better person.
I also know deep down my opinion ain't got chit to do with where your brother ends up at school. Just offering up an answer to

For the record, I don't hate Saban. I just don't think much of him as a person. I DO think he's a great coach though. Just sayin.....

hey dmitch.
North Louisian still has West Monroe, Ouachita, Ruston, Bastrop, Haughton,Neville,Benton,Richwood, Rayville,North Desoto,Homer, Farmerville, Calvery Baptist, many, Evangel,Cedar Creek, Oak Grove, Haynesville, Delhi Charter,Mangham, St. Fredricks & Ouachita Christian in the playoffs.
Bastrop gets to host their game against Helen Cox, but I noticed West Monroe has to travel to St. Thomas Moore and my Farmerville team has to travel to Plaquuemines to play St. John.
I will still be pulling for all of these teams.
