And I'm wrong again. WRs at OU have a history of success, not a bad pick.

I've had a lot of trouble with this pick given that my top 2 were taken in the last 4 picks, but I've decided on Isaiah Crowell. I was waffling on his likely contributions in his first year until the news came out that Ealey would be suspended to start the season. Needless to say, he should see some great PT early on and hopefully he'll catch the start before too long.

This is fun

I think he's hands down the best RB this year.

Crowell was easily my favorite back.

I sent an email with my picks to dan earlier and it's pretty much getting raped.

I didn't send anything to dan or Pasty, but my picks got beat pretty bad.

In any case...

jembeurt selects as his first round pick...

Tony Steward, LB Clemson.

I was really hoping for C.J., but he was too good to drop. Steward will be an immediate addition to a LBing corps that needs help. Allthough I picked Justin Parker last year, who should play Mike for Clemson this year, Steward could come in and spoil that. I do think Steward has the speed to play outside, and I am kind of hoping for that.

Clemson's LBing corps is really sick now with these new recruits, and I feel I could get reap some of the benefits.

Either that or fail completely.

Question for the group: Would Wilder still be on the board if he wanted to play LB at the next level? I don't buy him being the #2 RB in the nation, and obviously the people in this draft don't either. just curious.

I don't think he's all he's made out to be at either position. I think he'd be a solid LB and a terrible RB.

That was one of my concerns with my last pick. If he was straight LB, he'd be a no-brainer and he wouldn't have dropped to me. If he had, I'd have taken him without a doubt over IC. I love IC, but JW is an incredible talent.

With RB rankings, I feel like he's not top 5 or maybe even top 10 material. That may be bias on my part given his obvious LB talents, but...

I am not a fan of Wilder at either position. He lacks toughness.

I adhere to this viewpoint.

Although Wilder and Steward are amazingly athletic and physically imposing, I chose Steward because I believe he is more intelligent. I feel Steward knows his position, knows the "ins and outs" with the position, and will be ahead of Wilder in that aspect.

Also, Steward having offers from Stanford, Vandy, and Duke, as well as all of the big time schools, should back my thought up a little bit.

Saying all of this, I still really like Wilder Jr. I obviously would rather Steward first.

This is really the pace that you should expect based on last year's experience. It ran a few months last year. We will do the best we can within reason to keep it moving along. That being said, I fully expect to have a few guys fall out.

Which might end up being the steal of the draft. That would obviously piss me off knowing that I passed him up for another LB.
