13th pick, Karlos Williams, S, Florida St.
6'2", 205 lbs., 4.59
Head hunting safety. The thing I like best about him is that the ball carrier usually gains zero yards after contact.

Very nice for him to fall to you at that pick.
I actually had him as my fifth rated guy.

With the 15th pick of the RBMD, ThisWayChad selects:
C.J. Johnson, linebacker, Ole Piss

I didn't expect him to be here either. I think people got pretty turned off by how he behaved with the Saban comments. I thought it was low class as hell, but the kid is a special talent. I was planning on taking one of his new defensive teammates had Williams gone off the board.

frickIN' ROOKIE!
I figured C.J. wouldn't make it to me, but damn I was hoping.

It was a coin flip between him and Thomas for me. I think he will be the next big back at Texas.

haha, I just think the dude is a stud....really wish he would've came here, obviously.

Thats my feeling as well, they haven't had a true tough stud since Cedric benson, jam Charles was good but not a 25+ car. Back
Karlos Williams was in the convo. I just wanted an offensive player

The risk in taking Brown is that they're likely to get Jonathan Gray this year and Gray was better as a junior than Brown was as a senior. So the chance that he'll be splitting carries is pretty good IMO.

I guess that means I'm up? I was actually going to pick Karlos Williams, but now I'm going to resort to my back-up homer pick. With the 16th(or 15th) pick of this draft, TDawg selects...
Austin Seferian-Jenkins.
Chose Washington over Florida, Texas, UCLA, Alabama, and USC among others. He's arriving here for spring ball, and since we didn't even have a TE last year he should step in immediately as a starter. Sarkisian runs a pro-style offense that historically uses the TE a lot, so I expect him to start putting up decent numbers this year.

Interesting pick. I think he'll be a tremendous player. Though I wonder if you could've gotten him on the way back down in the 2nd round. Maybe not...

Brown looks like the real deal, but I thought the same about Traylon Shead last year. Is he going to see the field this year?

It was borderline if he was going to be available or not for my next pick, but he will be put in a very favorable situation and will be given every opportunity to succeed, so I decided to reach a bit.

Karlos Williams is boss. I almost picked him instead of Driskel but I don't think he would have dropped back down to me and I wouldn't have been happy if I missed out on him.
Interesting pick TDawg, I don't know much about him generally but he certainly had some pretty high accolades and seems like a pretty damn good athlete.
I honestly, unless I'm top 2-3, I don't like being this high because after picking as high as I did, now I have to wait until pick 46.
It would be impossible..........but maybe fun to do trades. I might have tried to pick down to get a higher later pick and still get Driskel.

Trades could theoretically be possible as long as each team traded an even number of picks, so the squads all have the same number of players. Like if I traded my 53rd pick and my 8th rounder to you for your 3rd round pick and your 6th rounder, we'd still have the same number of picks.
Of course if anything's unfair the board could veto.

I think trades are better as an idea than in practice in this type of thing. Just gets way too hard to keep up with and figure out.
Posted on 3/1/11 at 6:37 pm to JG77056
The mere mention of trades will get BayouCat chubbed up. I am against it b/c of the Enfuego factor. We are having trouble getting people just to pick when it's their turn. We need to see who is going to stick around IMO.

Yeah brown should at least get a chance

I was wondering who'd take a reach with Mettenberger. Could very well pay off though.
ETA: mgdtiger hasn't been on in over a week either so we might be in for a wait.
