As we all know, if you're going to run a 3-4, having a a beast at NT is a must. After seeing 4 guys I was going to select as a nt get taken within a few picks of when i thought i would get them, I can't wait anymore.
Harry3740 selects LAMARC STRAHAN. Lamarc is 6'4 365. He's michael strahan's cousin and is already being called the solution to Texas A&M's problems on defense. Mike Sherman says that as long as he doesn't eat his way out of football he is a sure NFL player one day.
May be a tiny reach here but he may be the last real NT out there, and I have no idea if he was on anybody else's radar. Limitless potential, unbelievable size and guaranteed playing time at a Big 12 school is too hard to pass up.

Baby, lock the doors and turn the lights down low because GCB is selecting CB Josh Turner (Texas).

Do the other corners that texas signed scare you at all? They signed a shitload of good db's this eyar. Turner is a monster though.

Not terribly. After watching his film, I just couldn't pass him up at this point in the draft. He's just too good not to see the field either at corner or possibly even as a ball-hawking safety. I think the only kid that UT took in this last class that was any better in the defensive backfield was Diggs and even with him, Turner is in the conversation.

Sheroid Evans > Josh Turner IMO but hey, different strokes for different folks

Let me qualify my statement slightly. The more I look at Evans film, I just see him ending up at safety. He's a really sure tackler and he reminds me a lot of Micheal Huff, who eventually moved from corner to safety. I see Turner as more of a true corner that could play safety if he had to. Regardless, the haul that Texas brought in at DB was absolutely gross.

Exactly. I drafted him as a safety. Gonna be interesting to see how Texas' secondary shakes out.

Well done. He's going to be great with a couple years under his belt. I really like my DB combo I've put together with Doran Grant and Turner. I'd think someone would be hard pressed (pardon the pun) to find a more talented tandem at this point in the draft.

I think it's pretty disgusting that texas could have 3 CB's (not even counting Evans) taken in this draft if someone snatches up Leroy Scott.

Agreed. It reminds me of the talent that we brought in last season, although none the Texas kids have the length of a Simon. I'm sure Texas would love for any of the three CBs to be a Tyrann Mathieu type.

I just wanna say kudos to everyone for getting in so many picks today.

I was waiting to see if I could make my next pick before I went to bed, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen tonight. Oh well, I've got my draft board ready for in the morning assuming that the guys in front of me don't swipe my picks again.

Let the record show that it was Dan in this instance, but I vote for a simple abbreviated version from here on out. It sucks having to type his username over and over. I dread the bottom of the odd numbered round b/c of it.

His username does sound like the first line of a 90's pop song
