Marcus Roberson, CB, Florida

Could play corner or safety. I like his potential at corner. Very fluid athlete that breaks fast on the ball and plays with a chip on his shoulder.

It's hard for me to fight off my homer urges, but I have to pick the guy who I think has the higher long term ceiling (thought it's pretty damn close).

Devon Blackmon - ATH

Not sure where he'll wind up, either on my team, or at Oregon, but this kid is a special athlete. At 6'0, 180 he's got the size, and he's a blazer that could make him a potential RB, WR, CB at the next level, or hell, maybe even the QB at Oregon. With the ball in his hands, there aren't many athletes more dangerous and explosive. He breaks down defenders like I drink beer, easily and at a dizzying rate. He gives value in the return game. He's got special written all over him.

Crap. That is the first time I get a pick swiped that close to my pick this year. It sucks!

Good pick Hand.

OBUDan & I discussed this and in the interest of keeping this draft moving at a reasonable pace, we are cutting TSB4L and Dolemite loose from this year's draft. We will decide what to do with the 2 players drafted later after we figure out if others will drop.

Nothing personal, so I hope it is not received that way.

Thanks Dan. Thanks Pasty.

When they're too good to pass up, well, they're too good to pass up.

Pasty takes Jordan Phillips, DT/DE, Oklahoma

6'6", 290 lbs, 4.8

Kind of a risky pick, but I can't pass on his talent. Hopefully, Stoops can teach him to bring it every play. If so, the sky is the limit for him.

Um, I'll swap out my RB for Dee Hart if that will help the draft.

Also, what should we do about non-qualifiers from last year.I see Martavis Bryant, Kelcy Quarles and Travon Van were a few taken that didn't get in.

IMO they should hold over... And not be eligible for this year's draft.

TDawg selects the Parade National Player of the Year Kasen Williams, WR for Washington . Even though this is a homer pick, I don't consider it a reach. He might start right away this year and at will likely be the go to #1 WR as a Sophomore.

I just need to trade for Ray Drew now and I can have all 3 players on the cover

Once a player gets drafted then I dont think he should be eligible for any other drafts if he ends up at JUCO or prep. My reasoning is because we will have some players who would get drafted in multiple years and teams. It is already going to be tough enough to decide winners.

Oregon is recruiting him for their "Tazer" position. He'll be at the position along with Kenjon Barner, Tacoi Sumler, Keanon Lowe, and possibly D'Anthony Thomas. It might be tough for him to find time, but he's a great athlete and they will likely try to get him on the field in any way possible.

Anybody surprised with this? I just didn't know what round you'd grab him in.

I was a bit surprised he was still available. Do you think he was a reach?

ETA: Scout has him at #22 overall and Rivals has him at #70 and this was the 68th pick of this draft.
