A.J. Derby out of Iowa.
From what you are saying, he reminds me a little bit of Kellen Theriot. Although I'm sure Iowa will find him a position though where Theriot got lost at LSU.
This is one of the reasons I like this draft. I would have never heard of this kid otherwise. Now if he becomes a big time player I will now his back story.

Iowa plans on using Derby at safety.

Too slow for safety. Even for the Big 10.

Luke Muncie - LB (LSU)
6'3, 215
4.49 40yd
(Future teammates on Team TSB4L)
One of the guys we got in this class that I'm really excited about. He seems to be in the mold that Chavis likes: speedy and capable in coverage. He brings in size and already having converted from safety. He will have some competition to make the field, but I think he is certainly talented enough to do so. Plus, I wanted at least one Tiger on my team.

12th pick, Bryan Murphy, DE, PITT, Mean MF'er

I expected there to be no such thing as a good deal on LSU recruits, but it's far surpassed my expectation of the premium placed on their heads.

He's the 36th LB taken thus far. He's ranked 35 on Scout and 42 on Rivals (originally 27th) and he performed very well in the AA practices/game.
I don't think picking him at this point is a stretch. I didn't go out of my way to pick him, but he fit what I wanted and he's going to LSU.

That wasn't a stab at you, and I don't think it's a bad pick. It's just an observation I made.
Also, Rivals ranks MLB's and OLB's separately and the rankings don't account for any ATH's that could turn into LB's, however rare that may be.

I gotcha. He and Worle were the guys I had my eyes on from LSU that I could pick up in the later rounds. I get what you're saying. I figured it would be like that, though.
My FF League is all Saints fans but me, and Saints players are gone well above their projected ratings every year.

Great pick. I had him as my #5 DE

Well after two days of burning through picks, this thing came to a crashing halt.

It's the weekend.
Yep. with the spring game, a baseball double header, and 2 regional finals in March madness today. I expect it to be super slow today.
