I just noticed, on the first page it is right, but the draft sheet has my 8 round pick as deon long which was suntigers pick. I had Corey Brown.

Good measurables, but damn that kid needs a sandwhich something fierce. He looks more like a WR, and looks too tall to be a CB. Will be interesting to see if he can add the weight.

well, I was going to take Neal, but ivii2 messed me up again. So, I'll take Wayne Dorsey DE, he's a former basketball guy thats 6'8 and fills a huge need according to Nutt. He was the top rated juco player in the nation according to scout, who typically does better at evaluating juco's. I thought he may fall to the next round, which is why I wanted Neal now, but with my luck of late I figured I need to get the best available player. Anyone know something I don't as to why a 1st round talent was allowed to fall this far?

He's a JUCO, so I bet a lot of people passed on him for that reason. I was considering taking him as a 3-4 END.

Oh well...crap....gambled & lost.
I almost pulled the trigger on him the last two rds.

got ya, I figured on taking several juco guys that seemed to be can't miss guys...also, it will allow me to see a lot sooner how they pan out then focus in easier on and keep up with the high school guys I selected

I'm weary of the JUCO guys because they only have two years to play and may bust or fail to crack the line up and sometimes they fail to qualify.
Prep kids are a little less risky because you think they will qualify eventually (DeAngelo Benton), but qualifying is still a risk. I took D. Long from a prep school who is a real talent, but I am worried about him getting into school.

I feel your pain, after losing out on 3-4 guys by thinking they would continue to get overlooked, I decided not to take a chance this time. Fyi, I will be running a 4-3, so I have Potoae as a DT for me and not a DE for the spreadsheet

Hey Joe, if it makes you feel better, Neal was DEFINITELY not making it passed me.
But I am glad to see ivii is not only stealing my picks.

Suntiger selects Josh Furman - Saftey from Michigan.
6' 2 3/4"
200 lbs
4.37 40 yard dash
40 inch vertical
26 reps on the bench press
450 squat
Furman's #s are off the chart, the only problem is the log jam at safety with Vladmir Emilien and Justin Turner signing last year and Demar Dorsey signing this year. Furman is a very good athlete who could well wind up at another position though like linebacker, RB or maybe even WR, especially with Rodriguez as coach. Hell, he might end up being my QB. Who knows.

With the 231st pick in the Tiger Droppings Recruiting Mock Draft, OBUDan selects:
Dakota Royer, OLB:
Honestly, there's not too much I don't love about this kid. Just turn on his filmand you'll be impressed. I've been searching for another pass rusher to play opposite Adrian Hubbard as an OLB in my defense. At 6'3, 220, Royer has a more than adequate frame. At Penn State, he'll likely be a 4-3 DE, so he's going to bulk up to around 265ish. But if you watch his tape, he moves very well. In fact, he plays both ways in HS, TE/DE. The main thing I love about him is that he's just a football player. In fact, the best description I've seen is from ESPN who said he has a real "Pennsylvania" blue collar feel to him. Much like my earlier pick of Christian Bryant, this kid just knows and loves the game. On his tape he shows ability as a speed rusher, but he's also a good tackler and plays pretty well in space for a guy starting out in a 3-point stance. With a 4.61 40 he'll have plenty of speed coming off the edge and the 4.19 shuttle time shows he's got great short area burst as well. He brings a real toughness to the defense. He registered 86 tackles and 13 sacks as a junior. At the risk of falling prey to the cliche I have to say it.. he's got a high motor, and I love it. Anyways, do yourself a favor and check out that tape. How he's not in the Rivals 200 is beyond me.

Crowbar selects: Bruce Irvin OLB West Virginia. I had been looking at him the last 2 rounds but being a JUCO and a little bit of a head case caused me to go in another direction. When he looked like he was coming back to me and I had him rated way higher than anyone else left I decided to go after him. 4 picks ago the talk about JUCOs fired up and I was getting scared he would pop off the board. He will fit in well as a hybrid DE/OLB in my 3-4 defense.
