Question for you guys: If Trovon Reed had signed with us, would he still be on the board?? Funny how that works!!

It is funny watching these picks. The later rounds should be interesting when the posters don't know any more players.

It should be expected that the top 100 guys would be the first picks.

Yeah.....except I will be one of the ones getting laughed at I am afraid.

I can't decide if I want to draft for a 4-3 or 3-4 alignment. Decisions... decisions...

With the 17th pick in the third round, Suntiger picks Trovon Reed.
It's not because you mentioned him, but he was next on my board and it was between him and an OT. Not a lot of WR's or playmakers for AU over the past two or three years so I think Dyer and Reed will get a lot of touches over the next few years.

I'm going with 4-3 simply because it's hard to project what LBers will be swithed to end eventually and there are more quality DTs than LBers IMO.
I can't beleive that everyone has passed on S. Redd. Penn State running back and probably the more talented one they've taken in the past few years in a conference that likes to run the ball. I took Lache so I don't need him, but he would probably be next on my board.

I agree but I am drafting or trying to use the logic of position depth. He would have been my pick if you and Dan would have taken my top 2 players.

Easy with pointing out guys that are slipping.
Only kidding. I think it is b/c RB can be hard to project and this seems to be a pretty deep class at that position. Dion Lewis was a 3 star on Rivals.

Says the guy who first mentioned T. Reed.

I agree RB is hard to project and usually you have a lot of lower rated guys who shine and higer ranked guys who fade. I really really like Ware and think he will do well, but I don't know how great he will do with Ridley, Claiborn, Ford, Hill and Hilliard sharing carries with him. That's why I took Lache. A highly rated RB who fits the Oregon type running back and doesn't have a lot of competition.

How good will he be? I wasn't overly impressed with him in the All Star game. Is he just highly rated due to the lack of QB talent this year?

What would you say is deeper in the class of 10 RB'S or WR'S?
Posted on 3/4/10 at 12:02 pm to Suntiger
They did sign Dontae Williams in that class, but there is less competition in Oregon than at LSU

With the 72nd pick in the Tiger Droppings Recruiting Board Mock Draft, OBUDan selects:
Adrian Hubbard, OLB
I was super torn on this decision. Finally, I elected to run a 3-4. THere were a ton of guys available that I wanted as a pass rusher, but I like Hubbard for a couple of reasons. 1, His huge frame. 2) Alabama recruited him so he seems destined to play the OLB in the 3-4. 3) His stock really improved throughout the year and I think he's a freak athlete that will be refined into a pass rushing terror. There were quite a few others I liked here and it was tough to pass on some of them but I really love Hubbard's upside and I didn't want to miss out on him.

damn, crowbar was on when i made that pick. where did he go?
Posted on 3/4/10 at 12:26 pm to OBUDan
With the 73rd pick Crowbar takes the next great Penn St LB Khairi Fortt
Both my guys were still there so I took a chance on the one that might come back to me next round. I didn't thing Fortt would make it back around.

I was thinking well i can pick and then crowbar is here so that should knock out two picks.
and then i refreshed the thread and you were gone

but i'm glad it was just a minor delay

Yeah. I usually only go to espn and rivals to look at recruiting. While I was waiting for you to pick I went to check out what scout had to say and it locked up my computer.....yet another reason not to look at scout.
