Our entire staff was present at the semi finals. Hopefully, they realize the work that will need to be done in order to be competitive next season. The former weakest teams in the SEC are now more relevant than before. The coaches have a lot of work to accomplish over the next months in preparation both physical and mental. Our schedule will be a challenge going forward. We have the talent and just need more practice laced with determination, focus and wise coaching.

ETA: Does anyone know what our ranking is at present?

Ranked #18 to end the season

We finished 2nd lowest in the entire SEC, in front of Georgia who finished #30

Hard to believe the team which came within a whisker of being 3-0 vs three finalists in head to head meets finished this low. What could have been!

Always surprised at the crowds they draw at home. Super weak.

Meaning Jay is going to have to step his game up and make better decisions. LSU had been the second best team under DD (at least during the Gnat-Hambrick-Finnegan era). And they have been arguably the first or second best team in the SEC. With all the hype at Auburn, recent losses in 2 out of 3 years to Kentucky and Bama, and then losing to Mizzou three times this year, can we still say LSU is a top team right now? I’d still say yes based on talent/potential but the numbers say otherwise.

I agree. A very disappointing year, but the way it ended may be just what it takes to light a fire under Jay. No way is it acceptable for a top program like LSU to not even make regional finals. You can’t excuse this away with covid, injuries, cancellations, or illness. All teams faced those same bumps in the road. They seemed to be more serious and focused than we were.

Ok so Savannah’s and Leanne’s vault scores! Here they go with the overscoring.

Who knew you could under rotate a 1.5 and take many steps back, and still score above a 9.800

So… we got 10s being handed out on vaults not stuck

Riley falls despite stumbling many steps backwards and scores over a 9.400

Love Suni but she has gotten a lot of gifts today so far on the two routines she has done

If this is the best we can do judging wise they need a lot of help

That’s why it’s hard for new gym fans to understand collegiate scoring. Too inconsistent.

KJ proving she is the best. If Florida can’t get it done with this group and 5th year seniors, not sure it’s ever gonna happen

She can’t have a team any more stacked

KJ Kindler said “I’m so proud of their mental stability.” Sums it up perfectly.

I’m enjoying the melt on the FB page. The hypocrisy of all of them calling out over scores of others but swallowing their whistle on their own teams gifts

This meet shows what the standard is and what it means to be mentally tough. Make the changes needed to get to that level.
