Love our rotation at SEC's however I don't think we win. With it being in Bama, Auburn & Bama will get some home cooking scores. It'll be interesting to see if Florida self implodes like normal.

In the last maybe 10 years of this meet, I never can predict who wins it. Florida on paper usually is the favorite but they haven’t won one in awhile. U can never count an Alabama team out. They always come prepared to Sec’s. I think our ladies looked great last week and has the potential to win. I don’t feel like 1-6 Auburn can compete for the title and that’s just my observation. Yes they have Suni but some of there beginning lineups have obvious form issues and that will not score 9.9 in this meet. Hopefully we don’t have any injuries because I’d rather us get through regionals so we can put our best gymnastics forward at Nationals.

It should be interesting - all teams arguably ending on their best event - vault for us, bars for Auburn, beam for bama, and floor for Florida.

I just hope it’s a good meet and there isn’t any overwhelming favoritism.

That’s my worry. Other teams never fare well when SECs are in Alabama. It also worries me that vault finishes first. Will have to “wait and see” if the meet is close.

Yes, I am of two minds on finishing on vault - if we hit, we can be lights out. If we don't stick, though - well, there isn't room for the judges to inflate scores really as they can on every other apparatus.

We'll have to see - if we can end with Haleigh and Kiya the way they did last week and if one of Alyona or Sarah can somehow find a landing - well anything is possible!

Now would be nice for her to find it.

She always seems to find it when we need it most from her

Jay's presser:
-Kai only on bars
-Kiya & Haliegh looks good to go for AA

I didn't hear an update on Alyona, but I may have missed it.

Also, the SEC Network’s Instagram is showing stories from today’s Intrasquad. Dunne’s shoulder looks heavily taped while she is performing on floor. She looks to be fine but that’s just something to keep an eye on. Her fall on bars did not look fun on Friday.

Does anyone know if the team bussed the whole way to Birmingham? I think it’s about a 5.5 hour drive from Baton Rouge to Birmingham.

I just watched the post of Kim Mulkey’s talk to the team. I had picked up on it a little bit, but this message struck it home - I feel bad these girls may not have the confidence to think they can compete with the likes of the top teams. Objectively, maybe there are teams that are more talented (in this odd covid, postponed Olympic year, the talent is insane). They are certainly good enough to compete and, on any given day, they could win.

I think In the past 5 years or so Lsu have always been close to the top in the rankings which has put more pressure on them going into post season to win the national champs/secs . From their semi underdog position, I hope they will maybe feel less pressure and can enjoy whilst doing their best. I agree on their best day they can win and it all comes down to the team that performs the best on the day. Looking forward to secs
