Exactly! The way things are going this day and time, it could be a possibility.

Playing dumb here, but how so?

I’m guessing it’s because teams need enough good scores to go to their NQS and if they don’t have sufficient opportunities it will be harder to drop bad scores, thereby lowering the teams ranking and potentially leading to a worse regional placement (eg with two other really top teams)
Coach Wieber did say in her interview this week that COVID had been spreading thru the team slowly, unlike other teams where it affected a lot at once. But I could see a team having enough athletes but missing some stars say “oh we’re too sick this week to compete”

I wasn’t really surprised that Arkansas pulled out of the meet today. As most of you all know, I live in Central Arkansas. I have supported Razorback Gymnastics for a long time. I was a Mark Cook fan and appreciated how he basically built the program from scratch. Arkansas is one of the states where Covid is running ragged. So when I got the email weeks ago about them wanting to “Pack the Palace”, I was a little bit taken aback. I feel the cases are way too high here. Many schools here have been virtual for weeks. One of my friends actually ended up leaving the meet early because a lot of people were not wearing masks (plus she really only wanted to see Suni). I just really think people aren’t taking Covid serious here and it’s affecting a lot of people. Yes, the team as a whole did a really good job wearing their masks, but it was evident that a lot of fans did not.

Everyone can watch a intrasquad at 2 today on fb live. So in 22 minutes!

Better than nothing. I saw Nebraska had an opening as well but wasn't sure if we could make a meet happen this weekend.

I just watched the first rotation. Durante vaulted so that’s a good sign for her. Bryant did bars but I think we knew she would be on that event already.
Aleah did bars and looked great. She has a clear hip to double tuck dismount to start the season but she showed her full out separately and stuck it, it was very high and controlled, reminded me of Hambricks.

Aleah honestly has one of LSU's best bars. Her toe point, straight body extensions and control is clearly evident when you compare it to other routines. Just needs reps. Those are the types of routines that get rewarded well scoring wise.

I really enjoyed the intrasquad. Glad we saw a lot of routines that we wouldn’t have in a real meet. Beam clearly needs Aleah and floor needs Aleah, Livvy, and Kiya.

I wonder why Dunne didn’t do beam?

Alexis Jeffrey was spotted in one of the shots during the intrasquad. LSU is going to get blasted in 3…2…

It looks like social media is at it again with pictures of who they think is AJ at the LSU Intrasquad. You will find it on The Gymternet and Reddit. I wish this could be addressed so our team isn't constantly being discussed in a negative way.

Exactly!
Already getting blasted. A lot of “I’m not surprised” comments. I even saw Sami’s name in there regarding a slur against Asians. I’ve seen a lot of comments about LSU over the past few days, but that’s a story I’ve never heard!

So a few things, Tatum disappointed on bars for me. Her form not up to par. Glad Maddie got to vault and dAntonio got to beam. Kamryn definitely showing promise. Wish there were more finnegans we could get after Aleah. Lol
On the AJ thing. If it’s okay with girls on the team, especially the ones of color, then everyone should mind their dam business. Now if they are uncomfortable and were not given a choice then she has to go. For me personally ucla looks way worse than we do but people love to hate us so we’ll come out looking like the bad guy I’m sure.

The Gymternet are not exactly sane logical people.

Tatum really needs another year to get into gymnastics shape. Injuries before LSU really put her behind.
I am not sure why Dunne didn't do beam though. We need more natural beam workers in general

If she was racist towards her teammates at ucla she should not be on the Lsu team period. If Lsu didn’t know about it before she came I Understand the transfer but do not understand her continued presence on the team. The girls should not be even asked to accept a racist person on their team or if they are ok with it as it’s completely inappropriate to even ask them to accept a racist person on their team. I hope this is sorted and swiftly and that she is nowhere near all the team going forward.

LSU doesn’t need the drama or distractions, negatively. The 2023 class that signs this fall, may be one of the best classes of all time we will sign. 3 of the elite gymnasts committed are POC (Miller, Drayton, McClain). I can’t see how Jay could jeopardize a culture already in place

Does anyone know if that really was AJ in those pictures? We should have heard by now if she is a student and on campus.
