I hope DD/Jay can work some magic in recruiting while on the trail over the next few weeks. It's a good thing to have additional "thoroughbreds" in the house. Competition is going to be fierce in the future considering the field of gymnasts coming to the NCAA. I would love to see LSU win the championship in NOLA next year. That would be awesome with the abundance of fans in our home state supporting our girls.

Nola is just the SEC championship, right? Isn't the NCAA championship in Fort Worth next year?

One option that does remain is the possibility of one of our 2019 commits to come in a year early. I imagine if that does happen we won't hear until sometime this summer.
Possibility, as in the works?

Yes, I believe Nola is the site for the SEC Championship. Hopefully the Tigers will get a 3rd win in Nola.We should have a great fan base as support for sure. It seems that I read where the NCAA Championships would return to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2019.

NCAA is in Ft. Worth from 2019-2022

Olivia Dunne is working on a 1 1/2 and double twisting yurchenko vault
She is expected to pull out some of the major upgrades on beam for Secret Classic this year.
Emma Kelley has been training at Texas Dreams, seems to have really been a a fantastic move for her. Kim knows what she is doing.
Aleah Finnegan has been working on a variety of different vaults, a double full and a few front handspring vaults. Told she still wants to attempt to head the elite route this year but there are only two opportunities left to qualify. She has has a really nice Silvas in the works. Just needs to find the consistency, only issue with her. I have to say her bars has dramatically improved. She needs to be able to find consistency on beam and floor, if she does that she will qualify for elite.
******Still awaiting a possible commitment from a gage gymnast. Was told one will announce a commitment sometime by this summer. LSU is recruiting Eaker, Jafree Scott, Alexis Jeffrey. All have visited LSU. Bama has offered Jefferey a scholly already.
JO's is next week, no one will even touch Bryant if she does what she normally does.
Caitlin Smith has been injured forever, literally don't ever see or hear about her training whatsoever. Little concerned with her and her development to be honest. She does have a phenomenal bars set but she has not really trained much over the last year.
Expect some 2022 commits by summer, after people move to hs that when we see the verbals. Still would think Annie Beard would be the first one.
Elena Arenas teased a quad series on her insta but I don't know if that actually is legit

I don't worry about Bama stealing anyone. They just fired an assistant coach to save the head coach's arse. Bought her another year or two and then she is done.

I've wondered if Caitlin Smith is still in the mix. There is absolutely no information on her progress. Paramont hasn't posted any videos in several years of her routines. She does have nice bar skills if she has been able to keep them going. All of the Gage recruits are well trained and it shows in their performances. Kara Eaker is absolutely awesome on beam. I hope she will choose LSU. JaFree is powerful on floor. She's a joy to watch. Is Leanne Wong a possibility? I think she is younger than most of the girls mentioned above so it may be too early to tell.
I would love to see Sarah Finnegan win the Honda Award. The competition is stiff this year. Hope Floats that she will get the honor before she leaves LSU.

I've been hearing rumors that there was going to be a shake up and that it wasn't public yet. I guess not being in the Super Six didn't help.

Yea that won't fix it, she continues to underachieve with the talent. There is ZERO development.
Talent isn't an issue with them
There was literally a PR article just published just to save her arse too. From what I've been told, the alumni and fans of the program are livid with where the program is.
I really like Duckworth, she is a really nice person who genuinely has her head in the right places for these athletes. In terms of winning and developing a top program, I don't think it ever happens under her. Alabama does invest a lot into the gymnastics program.

She is the major question for the 2019 class. Kai Rivers and Ferrer are the real deal, both are phenomenal on vault, floor, and bars.
JaFree is powerful but she is really flexible, awesome leaps on her beam routines. LSU is recruiting Leanne as well. Some of them want to take the process a little slower. It helps that Al is a former LSU gymnast and we have Sarah here, and Aleah is committed to LSU. I would like to think that helps a lot. I would love a team full of gage gymnasts, you couldn't go wrong.
Molly Frack used to be committed to LSU but she had a major injury, LSU backed out because we all thought she would never compete again. She is now committed to Auburn. I still think LSU wants a 4th person for 2019.

Auburn has a commitment from Sunisa Lee. She trains under Jess Graba which influenced her decision. Sunisa will be an asset to Auburn barring no future injuries. She looked good at the Pacific Rim. Kayla Dicello is not committed according to what I have heard. She is very talented and would be a great prospect.
I was relieved to see that Kai made it to JO Nationals. I hope she will be much improved from her Regional placement.
She tied for 6th which was the cut off for qualification. Bailey is gunning for JO Nationals. If all goes well she should be on top. I am looking forward to seeing these two at LSU.

I wanted Sunisa Lee soooo bad, she looked at LSU for a bit but I'm sure her coach made sure this was locked up for Auburn.
her coaches brother is the head coach at Auburn, so it wasn't too much a surprise.
I love Kayla as well, she is a phenomenal talent. Isn't she 2022? She is out from Maryland, but she will be after from every top program.
Kai had a fall on floor, I hope she just relaxes and does what she does. Its been a very off year for her, not sure if its due to some of the drama and stuff with her gym. Talent and ability no question is there.
Is aleah even attending nationals? Last I saw she was so focused on her elite training.
Ferrer has a chance to win a national title on vault and floor. Not sure why Kai stopped with her double full this season, it was never an issue before unless she has an injury I am not aware of.
I am also interested in how Rebecca D'Antonio does at nationals.

I don't think Aleah will go to JO Nationals. I haven't seen where she competed at Regionals. I don't know if she can petition in or would even consider it if the option was available. She is probably concentrating on Elite even if she does not qualify this year.

Oh and late last week, Thursday or Friday, one SEC school apparently reported Georgia to the NCAA for multiple violations of illegal contact. I know it wasn't LSU. I would assume its either Florida, Alabama or Auburn. My money is Bama as of now, Georgia has picked up a lot of track on some kids committed to them.

Iirc you mentioned Laney Madsen being recruited...is she back to cheerleading? Lots of cheer stuff on her social media.

I think she does both still.
I heard she has a lot of interest in Stanford
