In my business, if a recent grad were to come to me, no matter how talented he is and say, "if you have so and so on staff I will work for you." I would thank the kid for his time and then personally escort him out the building

You are right Kiwi. The problem is a lot of these kids have "street agents" who are allegedly looking out for their best interests. I would have zero time for those people. I would of course talk to the prospect, and if I was interested would explain to him that he would have every chance to compete for a position. I would also welcome him to LSU; I would not thank him for coming. Yes, I am old school.

Well if you were a recruiter I would wish you good luck on recruiting today and yes I myself am old school but I would have to adapt with the times
