Are we talking about the LB from Bama? No way we pull that cat out of that territory

I'm hoping Wilson commits to Bama and that helps push Davis our way.
Then again i want Smith, Divinity and Mccullouh as well so...

I think a 10. Too many elite level names in play for it to be anything other than a 10.

So it's shaping up as possibly Divinity, Fowler, Thornton, Davis, Joyner as the LB haul?
That is fan-flippin-tastic if so.

Steele has been on Davis for awhile now. It's been about whether Davis reciprocates that interest IMO.

Davis is not a very real possibility. I'm not saying we're wasting time there, but he's behind a lot of other higher possibilities...
We have a better shot with Divinity, McCullough, Jackson, Joyner and Smith IMO.

LSU isn't getting Davis, man.

I'm not saying Davis is of high probability, but he has stated several times that LSU was his favorite team growing up. He has a great relationship with Steele and spoke very highly of Miles after the Bayou Picnic. He continues to say that his parents will support whichever school he chooses and I don't think it's far off to believe his dad would rather him at LSU over Auburn if he's not Bama bound. All of this combined with our depth at LB is keeping NFLSU optimistic.

I really don't know what the situation with Joyner is...we already have Divinity, Fowler and Thorton. The only ones that are left in the game would be Davis and Smith like Jimmy said...and that other Texas Linebacker

MCullough is from TX and very interested. Jackson from Texas as well is visiting this weekend.

VT dropping his daily dose of positive posts

Well Buga...I have put my faith in you. You better be right about Divinity coming 2 LSU. If he does end up going elsewhere then I will be very disappointed considering the deep need at LB.
Don't get my hopes up!

Davis is a 5 star linebacker Bama legacy that grew up 30 mins away from Tuscaloosa. His dad is the all time leader in tackles at Bama. If you think Saban is letting this kid out of the state you are insane.
If the situation were reversed and say Kevin Faulk's son was a 5 star recruit growing up 30 minutes away from LSU, you would all laugh at the idea of Bama fans thinking they had a legit shot at him. Davis is a pipe dream

If Kevin Faulk's son repeatedly claimed his favorite team growing up was Bama and LSU had a stockpiled backfield and Bama's was depleted, I think it's fair to believe LSU fans would be worried.
Personally, I wouldn't want to be continuously compared to my father and expected to exceed his legacy.
Now my father and I holding records in tackles for two different SEC programs? That would be cool.
