We'll take John Randle Belton for the 2016 class. No worries.

Has a QB from that system had a good college career yet?

since calvary and evangel are mirrors of each other I would have to say

brock berlin----miami
john david booty-usc
phillip deas (until he got hurt and couldn't keep playing)-unc and la tech
rhett bomar until the carwash and car dealership fiasco.-oklahoma
josh booty (up for debate)

none of them have done anything in the pros except carry a clipboard for a few seasons.

Did you mean Brent Rawls? Bomar didn't go to Evangel.

Rhett Bomar - not from Evangel. Think he is from TX.

That's a very good record. Probably one of he best around.
If someone is trying to critcise that program for a failure to produce quality QB's, there's plainly some unresolved butthurt involved.

Plus one went to play baseball at Pepperdine. I would like to say that I wouldn't call Calvary a mirror when it comes to QBs. Evangel has a great tradition. I don't remember any QBs from Calvary.

John Booty, father of Josh, J.D. and Abrahm (who was an All American HS QB himself, breaking all of Bradshaw's HS records) was the coach at Evangel responsible for this success) and moved a few yrs ago to Calvary as AD.

That's odd...does he have any family there? Can't imagine someone being a die hard Arizona fan in TX.

I know the history well. It's been a decade since he made the move. In 10 years can you recall any Calvary QBs doing anything in college? Just asking, not trolling.

He played down in the Rio Grande Valley. As serious as they take football in the RGV, not many recruiters make it down there. Too many IBMs. Kid can play though.

The ones I can remember:

Jake Booty
Nik McCarty
Daniel Fitzwater

All good hs QBs in a good system. I think Fitzwater may have gotten some more looks if he had been there longer.

Johnny booty started the athletic program at calvary scratch a little more than seven years ago.
So, not a very long time to create and reap the benefits of his system there. Still he has turned out a veery good and improving product.
Just retired in past couple of weeks.
