Alright boys, lets get it.
I can't be the only one who had to wake up this morning and go to work.

Also, Dan, I'm 29
Hey, I never said you were an old man. But those goons you hired looked like they were 16.

With my next pick I'm going with:
Dante Phillips DT
If he's on the list I missed it. Is there something wrong with this guy that I'm missing wy he dropped this far?

A lot of areas take President's Day off, esp. in the norhtern states. Hell, this is the second busiest time/week in Disney world. It will probably be even worse with Mardi Gras coinciding with it this year.
Good thing I'm going next week instead of this week.

I don't see him on the list as well. Good job grabbing him this late.

With my 8th round pick, I select, Julien Obioha, DE signee with Texas A&M.
Highlights
ETA: May be a stretch, but someone that I wanted on my team. I think this was an in-state guy who is underrated, personally. I think he will do well in the next level at A&M. I really like his style of play. He will need to put on some weight, but I really like the technique that he uses in his film.

Sorry bros, I'm barely alive on the way back home from New Orleans.
I edited with the new pick, and I'll update with more info ASAP.

With my 8th round pick, I'll select:
Donaldven Manning, DB, Virginia Tech
Highlights
Manning is a little bit slight, and a little bit slow, but he's "all heart mother fricker!" All kidding aside, I really like this kid's game. He has a great feel for the position. He's very instinctive. He's very willing in run support. He should fit really nicely into my cover 2 system, which will help to mask some of his lack of top end speed. He committed to VTech in October and his recruiting took off. He's only highly rated on Rivals, but check his offer sheet: Bama, Florida, LSU, FSU, Miami... Impressive. Further, he's an early enrollee at VTech, and he could see PT as early as this year. Feel like a kid of this caliber, who is already enrolled is a steal at this point.
With my 9th pick, I select:
Michael Barton, LB, Cal
Lights of High
Hailing from one of the nation's most successful HS football programs, De La Salle, Barton is a speedy, physical playmaker at the LB position. He delivers hits with a bang, and really explodes through contact. I like his ability to sort through trash, and he shows good diagnosing ability as well. To run a Cover 2, you must have LBs that can run and tackle. Barton, does both. Most sites have him penciled in as an OLB, but he could add some bulk and play MLB. He looks like the perfect WILL in a Cover 2, but he may end up being my MLB, if I can't find another. I need a guy there that can take deep drops and be effective in coverage. Maybe Trey Metoyer will fit.

Since so many are scared to go with homer picks, I'll take a burner in:
Derrick Raymond DB

I actually considered him, but I wasn't sure I was ready.

Nice, nice pick. I was hoping my talking about homer picks would keep him on the board for another couple rounds
