I like the Hamilton pick, dude. I was definitely considering him, but I find myself downgrading Miami players a little just because I don't know what's going to happen to them.

As much as I like the LSU players I think they're going way too high, especially with how deep we are at their positions

He's a lockdown corner going to a school that's known for putting lockdown corners into the league. It just so happens that I also root for that school, which doesn't hurt.

I think it's a good spot to pick Thomas. TM7, Simon & Jenkins will likely be the starting rotation and Thomas has a chance to break into the 2 deep. I don't think our secondary is as deep as some others do. That's why I took Thompson. He has a real shot to play this year and possibly start next year. For a good team that coaches up their DBs.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were Jalen Collins, not Jenkins.

Don't forget Ronald Martin as well, who already earned some PT last year at Safety.

Forgot about Collins. I guess I just haven't heard much about him. Looking forward to see who gets PT out of those two this year. Their both big corners too.

Martin is a safety, but I think he ends up being more of a back up that plays a little later on like Ron Brooks. That's just my opinion though.

Feldman tweeted before the MNC that they say Collins is the best athlete of them all and that they think he'll be special.

And I mean of all DBs not just freshmen.

Black is a play-maker. He gets to his top speed quickly, he is an explosive player, and he is someone who is tough to touch in space. He size may not put him in that elite class, but if he gets his touches the right way, he will make plays. He is likely an inside receiver because of his size, but he can catch, he can run, and he can be used in many different ways.

Bryce Treggs, WR Cal

I'm a little surprised this guy is still here - I guess you guys are right about how deep this receiver class is. He's fast, he has great hands, he runs crisp routes, and he's elusive. What I really like about him is that he actually played receiver in high school, unlike a ton of guys who get moved there once they get to college. The learning curve won't be that steep because he's already done everything before. Cal only signed one receiver last year, and I think this will be the guy to step up and have the chance for some PT early of this year's group. Two seniors graduated out of Cal's top WR group and I think Treggs will end up in the slot at least a few plays this year.

jembeurt selects Brock Stadnik OT, USCe

Brock(right) and Clayton, his twin brother, both committed to USCe. With his size, early enrollment, and a good bit of turnover on the USCe line, he should see at least some backup duty this year. He plays to the whistle, and even sometimes through and beyond it. He really doesn't stop blocking until his defender is on the ground.
quote:

Stadnik: “I’m very intense and attack the game. My goal is to put the guy on his butt every time. I want to be a perfect blocker and I’m very technically sound. I have great precision and speed, but with a mean streak."

The last two drafts I had made it a point to get good linemen, and I feel with Stadnik and Voltz, I am off to a good start. Hopefully I don't lose out on the other guy I was debating over.

Real nice tape.

I have a rule that I don't take a lineman unless they have at least 5 blocks where they put someone in the dirt.

Just my personal taste.

Nice.

My only concern is who he might be going against. They are a 4A school, so he has to be up against something worth a shite.

BTW, I forgot to mention his 4.3 GPA.

Hey my line of thinking is, if you are big and bad enough to be a D1 linemen, you better be able to put some high schoolers in the dirt.

On an interesting side note, We are on page 33 and have completed 6 1/2 rounds.

Last year, 6 1/2 rounds were completed on page..........33!

Twilight Zone shite right there.

My Defense thus far:

3-4 scheme

DE:Channing Ward
DT:?
DE:Jelani Hamilton
Jack LB(lol): Josh Harvey-Clemons
MLB:?
MLB:?
OLB:?
CB:?
CB:?
FS/CB:Cyrus Jones (could play WR, but I like him on D)
SS:Marcus Maye

Clearly way to early to call this the greatest Defense of all time, but I like where it's headed.

I look like this:

DE: Ideafi Odenigbo
DT: Mario Edwards
DT:
DE: Devonte Fields
LB:
LB:
LB:
CB:
CB:
S:
S:

Pretty bare, but I really like my DL thus far. I have two more guys I really like at that last DT spot... hopefully one will fall to me where I'd like.

Alright, go ahead Larry. I gave 102362 an hour, so he'll just have to pick when he gets around.
