Nice pick with Randy Uzoma, A guy with an Oregon offer playing in the WAC has greatness written all over it but I couldn't get past his mediocre highlights: LINK

With my final regular pick, GCB selects...

Austin Maass, OG, San Diego State

6'4, 280

Mission Viejo product. He was named an All-Pac 5 OL his senior year and was named MV's OL of the Year all four years he played. He's got good feet for a guy his size and will fit in very nicely at RG for me. SDSU is bringing in six OL in this class and Maass is the cream of the crop.

Likewise. Let's build on that positive momentum from yesterday.

I always like to get in one small school guy, so here goes:

In the final round of the 2012 TD RMD, Suntiger selects Kendrick Daniels, RB from ArKansas State.

Picture not to scale (but close)

Ht: 5'6"-5'7"
Wt: 150 lbs
40: 4.4 secs

Daniels is small. Real small. But he's fast and quick and tough and has good hands out of the backfield. He played in 4A against really good Texas high school football competition, so the Sunbelt should be a breeze. Also, he played in a spread option system that Malzhan likes to use. (We'll have to see if Malzhan stays at ASU for more than a year or two) He will be the Felix Jones to Michael Dyer's, Darren McFadden. He had an offer from Iowa State, La Tech, Memphis, New Mexico and New Mexico State but committed early to ASU and Hugh Freeze. I think that and his size has him ranked lower than he should be.

He's also a track guy, coming in 3rd in the 200s in his Jr year with a 21.93. (FWIW, Trindon's best time in the 200 is 21.33)

2012 Team Suntiger:

QB – Zach Kline (Cal) 2nd Round
RB – Mario Pender (FSU) 1st Round
RB – Kendrick Daniels (ArKansas State) 22nd Round
WR – Kwinton Smith (USCe) 7th Round
WR – Avery Johnson (LSU) 10th Round
WR – Canaan Severin (Virginia) 21st Round
OT – Ryan Ward (Iowa) 11th Round
OG – Caleb Stacey (Cincinnati) 15th Round
C – Alex Kozan (Auburn) 20th Round
OG – Cedrick Poutasi (Utah) 12th Round
OT – Win Homer (Boston College) 19th Round

My offense is a steamroller with big guys on the line and big recievers. I've got a Thunder and Lightining attack in the big field with a good field commander at QB.

DE – Damien Jacobs (FSU) 8th Round
DT – Alphonse Taylor (bama) 14th Round
DE – Ken Ekanem (VT) 9th Round
OLB – Jamal Lyles (Michigan State) 13th Round
MLB – Keith Brown (Louisville) 3rd Round
MLB – Nick Dawson (Louisville) 6th Round
OLB – James McFarland (TCU) 18th Round
CB – Terry Richardson (Michigan) 5th Round
CB – Tyreece T.J. Jiles (UNC) 17th Round
FS – Edward Pope (aTm) 16th Round
SS – Corey Thompson (LSU) 4th Round

Hard and fast, no not my sex life, but my defense. You aren't running up the middle. Ain't happening! I really really like my safetys and linebackers. My cornerbacks are underrated and Ekanem will be Sam Montgomery v.2.0.

If I have any weakness, I'd say it's my defensive line only because I started out drafting for a 4-3 then switching to a 3-4. Taylor is the perfect NT, but Ekanem and Jacobs are better suited for a 4-3. I think they will both be good college players though.

For his final pick of the RMD, Team Dro selects Jordan Richmond OLB, Texas A&M

Ht: 6-1
Wt: 220
40: 4.50

Very athletic linebacker who pursues well sideline-to-sideline. He is sound tackler and gets low to make sure he bring the ball carrier down, but still; needs to keep remembering to wrap up. He explodes through the ball carrier and understands how to explode from his lower body. He does two things really well on film that jumps out at me that not many youngsters do well. He gets going down field on the first step and then makes the read. A 4.5-40 LBer? How did this guy fall through the cracks? Am I missing something?

2012 RMD – Team Dro

Offense - Pro Style/Wildcat

QB – Jameis Winston (FSU) 1st Round
RB – Todd Gurley (UGA) 5th Round
ATH – Eugene Lewis (Penn St) 13th Round
WR – Chris Black (Gump) 6th Round
WR – Travin Dural (LSU) 9th Round
TE – John Thomas (LSU) 20th Round
OT – John Theus (UGA) 2nd Round
OG – John McGee (OU) 10th Round
C – Hiva Lutui (Utah) 15th Round
OG – Patrick Destefano (Clemson)21st Round
OT – Greg Brantley (Oklahoma St.) 18th Round

Defense - 3-4

DE – Trent Taylor (Tenn) 14th Round
DT – Quay Evans (MSU) 3rd Round
DE – Beniquez Brown (Miss St.) 12th Round
OLB – Ronnie Feist (LSU) 11th Round
ILB – Otha Peters (RKansas) 7th Round
ILB - Mario Ojemdia (Michigan) 16th Round
OLB - Jordan Richmond Texas A&M 22nd Round
CB – Travell Dixon (Gump) 4th Round
CB – Devontre Parnell (UL) 19th Round
FS – Demetrious Cox (Mich St) 8th Round
SS – Jalen Overstreet (Texas) 17th Round

I have to say I'm WAY more pumped about this year's team than I have been in previous years. If only Winston can put baseball off for now, I would have the best players I could've drafted IMO. I pretty much drafted all of my targets and I did reach for a few of them, but they may turn out to be huge gets. Thank you guys for another great year, especially those who busted their asses (Dan & Pasty, etc.) I look forward to the supplemental rounds!
