I don’t folllow recruiting like I used to. Just checking out that only one RB commited and the position already looks thin. Any concerns here?

LSU already has Davis committed
Just add either Emery or Cain and LSU is set
Recruiting is pretty fluid so who knows who else we could pick up

Still plenty of time. Cain, Sanders or Emery could be in the mix

We have Davis and will likely add Cain too. Don't be surprised if Emery comes aboard too.

Cain and Sanders both coming on an OV together

That I'm not positive on. If I had to bet I'd say UGA or Bama

Marcus Dupree is a super secret non committed verbal according to my sources.

I'd take him but he has to wear his curl to get on the field

I like Mike Hollins film better than Cains...

That's interesting being that they lay on the same HS team. I know it's a pipe dream, but what if both decided to sign with LSU?

Don't see any chance that happens. Will be shocked if Sanders doesn't go to Bama.

Tyrion Davis
6'1 230
#8 RB
The consensuses on here is that Noah Cain(5'10 212 #7) is a silent. Who knows what happens with Emery and I don't think we have a legit shot with Sanders. I think we end up with two top 10 RB's.

LSU will get Davis and Cain.
Emery's dad will keep him locked into Georgia since leaving the state always works out well, like it did for Emery, Sr.
Sanders is bought and paid for by Alabama. He will visit hometown Florida where his brother plays, family lives, where he would start from day one and where he grew up wanting to play for. But as is normal in recruiting the beauty of Tuscaloosa and the money in the bank will ultimately make his decision for him. The pay sites will dutifully report that the beloved Joe Pannunzio just did a great job recruiting Sanders and life in the recruiting game will just go on.

Errrrr this pisses me off so fricking much! I know they all cheat to a point, LSU included but what Lord Saban and Co are doing over there is beyond ridiculous! As long as Emmert is in control nothing will be done!

All you can really do is laugh.
I have no love lost for Ole Miss, but they get busted for Chris Kiffin allowing a recruit to sleep on his sofa. Meawhile, Alabama buys Tua's family a house and gives Trent Richardson's mother a rent-free home to housesit for 3 years. Crickets from the NCAA.
Trooper Taylor is sent to NCAA purgatory in Jonesboro, Arkansas while Tosh Lupoi who is buying players left and right on the West Coast and is too toxic for even USC to take, but he ends up at Alabama and the allegations against him are dropped immediately.
Saban's genius and it is genius, is that he realized during his NFL sabbatical that the NCAA recruiting rules are at best suggestions. Of course it helps to have the best buddy Emmert running the NCAA clown show, but otherwise the last thing you want to do is fool around and depend upon a few thousand bucks here or there making the difference between getting or losing a recruit, you have to go all-in. Don't worry about being blatant about it, you want a player, buy him, buy his handlers, buy his family, buy a District Attorney if you need to. Unlike the NFL, there is no salary cap. You have the NCAA run by your best buddy, you have the national media cheering you on, the recruiting sites considering news worthy of subscribers $10 per month to mean you break a commitment 90 seconds before the free sites. No one is going to stop you other than yourself or the resources available. It's genius really.

All this is very likely as close to the truth as we will ever know, however, they aren't the only one's doing it, they just do it better. If Saban were still here doing the same things, we'd be just like Bama fans enjoying it and deflecting. In fact Saban did do some things here that weren't above board yet we have fans that still believe we are the cleanest program in the country. Even though there is proof all over that we've bought players. Yet we aren't on probation. Wonder how that works?
Look I despise Bama as much as anyone but I'm not so high on my horse that I believe we don't do things against the rules. We just don't do it as well, or likely as aggressively, as others. In my opinion that is our fault. I'm not gonna blame Saban and Bama nation for our shortcomings or unwillingness to do whatever it takes to win, no matter the cost. That's the name of the game these days. You've got to ante up or settle for losing in the end.
My solution, get someone in the athletic building that is willing to do what it takes. At some places it's the AD, some ,such as Bama, is the head coach. The major schools are a decade or so from disbanding from the NCAA anyway so what does it matter? The NCAA has already given the blueprint by giving different stipends to schools as ammo so might as well set a salary cap and turn the major programs into the minor leagues of the NFL, with the bonus of an education. It's essentially what those programs are anyway. Might as well call it what it is.
Set up a true, enforceable set of rules and parameters with a commissioner and governing body. Set divisions, conferences or whatever and let's play ball. There would likely be more money for all, therefore more for the academic sides of the institutions, and everyone will be happy. In the end money is what it all comes down to no matter how much those in charge want to preach academics. The kids that really want the education will get it. Those that aren't interested aren't interested now so no difference. Just my somewhat cynical point of view on the current and future states of major college football. It's only going to get worse under the current system.
Have at it.
