Quick Question Regarding Recruiting

Is it possible that an extra scholarship is available due to the departure of players whom played for at least a year? Can anyone tell me how does that work, thanks!

85 man roster limit. You can recruit to this number each cycle, however I believe starting in 2018 the max signing class number will be set at 25.

Do you mean they are doing away with back-counting early enrollees?

Not eliminating the ability to go against a previous year if a slot is available on early enrollees.

Then what is Dlab2013 talking about changing? The SEC adopted a 25 player signing limit 5 or 6 years ago.

You can't sign players you don't have slots for, primarily greyshirts. back-counting still available.

Grayshirts actually sign LOIs? I thought they just sat out the fall and enrolled in the spring of the following year.

The way I read it is this......Some years you see teams take 28-30+ and work the numbers out after. You can't do that anymore. 25 is the limit for each class now. I still think you could back count each class however. Say you take 22 on NSD, then you could add up to 3 more during the year from Juco or whatever to reach that 25 number for that class.
