So Dooley and Joseph must have established a relationship with him when they were at LA Tech I would assume. But they probably offered him about the same deal he had here. He may end up figuring out LSU is his best option and just accept the grayshirt.

I never thought of the scholarship not being guaranteed to him in January, but..... With the sick recruiting class we have coming in, is it unreasonable to think this kid will never wear p&g?

from my understanding of the walk-on rule, if you take a official visit to a school, you can't walk-on that year, nor if you sign a LOI can you walk-on that year. From being a former College coach, this would have a new rule and the first time I have seen it. Unless the rule was changed, they must be doing something else. I will do some research tom, there must be some other loophole in the walk-on rule.

recuited walk on is the term. As long as he does not play in one game during 2010 he will not count against the 85 scholarship limit. Now why snt everyone complaining about this one?

Yeah, I wasn't sure about this scenario, but it's what has been put out there. It's a bit strange, but I was also under the impression he would count against the 25 for signing a letter of intent if and only if he played his first year or 2. It might only be one year he can practice but can't play.
