Question on Cam Rob versus LF

Question:
I realize they are both outstanding and stellar recruits, but I see people irritated over whether one is #1 or #2 on various recruit services. I dont understand the big deal. I mean HOW much difference in talent is there for say the 1-10 ranked recruits on most sites?
Additionally - even if LF was say #6, isnt he still a bigger take than Cam Rob given our RB situation versus our OL status? IF you only could take one that is...
Thanks

No. As in, no it doesn't matter.

247 values NFL drafting procedure when they factor in rankings.
You probably won't see another RB taken 1st overall for a very long time.
Left tackle is a completely different story

Yes. Give me LF over CR all day.
That said, LSU gets them both IMO.

Not much at all, and in my opinion, none.
Cam is an incredible prospect and so is LF.

I think we need LF more, due to the fact we wont have many rb's next year.

The problem with Robinson is a double whammy.
Not only would LSU not get the consensus #1 rated O-lineman in the country, but our worst enemy would benefit from his services instead.
So in that regard, losing Robinson to Bama is bigger than getting Fournette.

Maybe never again.

Exactly. LF however would go to a place that's either loaded in the backfield or the west coast.
Cam rob just demolishes people and collapses dlines. Give me cam rob over LF. Sorry
I could run behind that left side. By the time he made it to the second level I would be getting 10 yards a pop.

Right, this is what I keep reading. It seems that LF is appearing to be a once in a decade talent. I haven't read that about Cam Rob yet (though I understand he is one of the best in a while).
I guess a better question would be: Would you prefer to lose CR or LF to Bama if you had to make a choice...?

Ha! Ok - makes sense to me. Thanks!

By design, LSU needs LF more. Both are the best at their positions this year. Both are coveted by everyone in the nation. Hopefully both sign with LSU. Bring in the hookers, blow, and whatever else it takes to sign these two.

Sarcasm or no? I really can't tell. You asked a question and I gave my inion. If you don't like it, then well you can you know

I think we need Robinson way more than LF. There are 3 very good RBs in the 2015 class and there will always be a good RB crop in Louisiana. LTs like Robinson do not grow on trees down here and there arent any in the next class that are slam dunks either.

Nah - no sarcasm. I see your point and understand. If Cam Rob is that good and is capable of making holes, then any good running back can get through said hole into the second level. I like 30 yard plus runs, but I will take the 10 yarders all day, so I understand your point about the OLineman being more important not to lose. That's all I meant bro.

My ONLY reservation would be that LF has been touted as the next "Adrian Peterson" and THATs pretty good company.

Since lf is obviously a silent, we should get him to lock up CR

To all these people that are saying they would rather have CRob- if Jesus was standing right in front of you and he asked you the same question about CRob or LF do yall think yall would really still say CRob? The choice has to come from the deepest ventricle? of your heart.
