I really believe we are recruiting Louisana harder than any other state outside of Mississippi this year.

Smart move by Mullen and staff. Y'all can find some studs in Louisiana like Coach O did when he was at Ole Miss.

Good, we don't need your kids.

Now get back to class before I tell your principle.

Ive heard that Elias is a beast in the weight room, but haven't heard that he is that fast. Also FWIW in his pic on Scout he has an awesome 80's mustache.

Trust me those numbers a true - He will bench over 400 very soon and the time is correct as far as I know.

The mustache is "AWESOME'

Like I said it seems as if State is hitting Louisiana hard, and it seems there are prospects we are after that play positions we are in the need for (WR, LB, OL) and LSU is filling up at, or have higher rated prospects out of state you are going after.

Yep, thats good and smart recruiting by Mullen. TCU does a lot of the same.

Just curious, is LSU looking to recruit more nationally than in state this year?

I think the staff is recruiting some of the OOS kids earlier this year than in the past & they may to be recruiting Texas more for 2013. They are definitely recruiting most instate kids hard.

At some position they want to see the kids in person at camp to see not only their ability but also how they respond to coaching. With kids committing earlier each year the camps have become more important than in the past. Just like in Mississippi, lots of these kids are much better than their competition. The camps give the staff an opportunity to see them matched up against other SEC caliber guys.

As some people have said in this thread 2013 is a stacked year for Louisiana. Schools from several states are going to be happy with the Louisiana recruits they snag come national signing day. Just like with other always stacked states (like Texas, Florida and Georgia), Louisiana (LSU) is not going to be able to keep all of the guys who will be good at the next level.

Even though offers have been made to some kids who aren't four & five stars, the coaches are having to be very selective with offers. The kids that have been offered are the ones the coaches have seen enough of to know they want them. Some of the kids that many of us fans (posters) feel should have been offered already, need to spend some more time with the LSU coaches.

I don't think LSU is recruiting more OOS. I just think they are trying to do their best to gain ground in what has become a fluid (always changing) game.

Bundy - I have zero issues with instate guys choosing MSU. I feel like State is a clean program and is close enough for most LA relatives to see their kids play for home games. I also feel like that State is probably selling their program versus negative selling against LSU. I can think of about 4 other SECW opponents that I am almost sure negatively recruits LA players against LSU. My. CPA is a State grad & he's a helluva good guy. I wish the 'Dogs nothing but success.

Unless LSU offers or we get Dodson, this kid will be a Hog. He is extremely high on Arkansas right now.
