I prefer a high school qb this cycle only if Nuss returns!!!

The UNC commit Bryce Baker is the take if you can get him out of HS. If not you go the portal route for someone to compete for the back up role.. (assuming Nuss comes back)

I hope we can get him on campus and land him. Bryce Baker is also a very good basketball player. I love basketball players at the QB position especially if they are playing point. The point guard position in basketball translates so well to the QB position in football. The point guard position requires a lot of quick processing, anticipation and gametime leadership. It's the same "intangibles" that good QB's need on the field.
FWIW, Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels were dual sport athletes and were point guards in high school. So there's that.

Taking Bryce Baker (Top 10 QB in the class), then having him and Hurley fight it out for QB1 in 2026 is the way to go. Ofc, that's contingent on Nuss coming back for 25.

Saban pre-NIL absolutely. Saban post-NIL said hell no and left because of that very same reason. Finding guys to stay and compete is rare. The TV broadcasters only said it 5 times a game about Nuss because it's so rare.
