That is it. They don't think he is the better prospect as far as upside. They got their guys. They like Haynes but don't love him as a player. Nothing less or more and not too hard to understand.

Agreed... We all know the reason why people on this board want to drop Finley.

I'd love to hear this.

King would be a huge get . If he wants in I say let him commit if someone drops they drop if they stay and we take 3 nobody is complaining . Let the competition begin

Finley has twice the potential as king, his measurables are off the chart.

His arm strength measurables, sure.

Have you seen the rest of King's measurables? He's a dynamic athlete with a great frame for a QB and plenty of arm strength himself. He would be an absolute weapon under Jimbo's tutelage.

ETA:

I wouldn't bitch about Finley and Johnson though. One of those will most likely end up being a solid college QB.

I'm complaining. Taking 2 QBs in a class is fine, but it's almost guaranteed that at least one of them is going to transfer. Taking 3 means you've likely wasted two spots in a very deep class.

Gotta just trust your evaluations and take the two you want most. Which in our case appears to be Finley and Johnson. I'm think we could have landed King this spring if we had made him a priority.
