For some time, Goodrich was leaning toward LSU. After electing not to commit during his official visit, momentum tailed off. He has since visited Georgia and Clemson, then elected to cancel his remaining visits after coach Dabo Swinney went in-home that following Monday evening. The writing on the wall suggests Goodrich has settled on Clemson. Don’t forget that Swinney prefers his commitments not to visit other schools, so there’s that. Orgeron used his in-home with Goodrich before he visited Clemson.

Ed Orgeron and Corey Raymond went in-home with Surtain and his family on Thursday right before the 5-star cornerback took his fourth official visit to nearby Miami. Surtain has been to LSU, Alabama, Clemson and Miami, but this remains a two-team race. Sources inside the LSU football program remain confident despite some buzz out of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Expect Surtain to pick the Tigers on Signing Day.

Foster is difficult to gauge, but this is believed to be an LSU-Florida State battle. He visited LSU on Jan. 12 and made his last stop at Florida State this past weekend. Orgeron and the entire offensive staff saw the 4-star quarterback off. LSU remains confident in its chances of landing the prized quarterback, but there is some serious momentum in the Seminoles’ corner.

Chase is coming off his first visit to The Plains. Before that, he was unfamiliar with Auburn coach Gus Malzahn. Leading into the visit, rumblings out of Archbishop Rummel (La.) and those close to the 4-star wide receiver intimated that he had settled on LSU. Barring any sort of seismic shift during his official to Auburn, this is LSU’s race to lose. He is a strong final piece to the 2018 wide receiver haul.
