You're looking for a walkon QB.

You're either going to get a kid who's 5-10 and 185 pounds, a kid who's played one year of QB, a kid who has a complete rag arm or a kid like this who scares people off because of a funny delivery you might be able to fix with coaching.

Take your pick. If you don't have one of the above flaws, chances are you're not going to be able to get the kid to walk on because he's signing scholarship papers with somebody.

The other thing about Loving is, supposedly he's a decent baseball player. Maybe Mainieri can use him if he isn't much on the football field.

Isn't a walk-on considered a non-scholarship player?
