Davis needs to do better

Kids who don’t want to play for Davis need to do better. In a profession where most people are gigantic IRL pieces of shite, Davis is a great man with excellent character, a great coach, a great developer of talent, and respected as one of the top people in his field with an impressive coaching lineage. Kids/families who can’t recognize that probably have their own problems going on, especially in a position group where you need to be smart and have the ability to work and gel as a unit. He’s assembled possibly the best OL roster I’ve seen at LSU so I’m not sure how much better he can get

Never said he wasn't a good man. I really like him as a person and coach. Doesn't change the fact that he needs to recruit better to keep up in the SEC.

So he hasn’t signed multiple 5 stars and a bunch of high 4 stars since arriving at LSU? fricking idiot. I was being nice by pointing out his strong suits instead of calling you a moron for ignoring how well he’s recruited in his tenure here, but I guess I’ll just take that route since your dumb arse thinks I was just saying he’s a nice guy. He’s a great coach all around and he’s about the last position coach on the staff who deserves criticism at this point

They are out recruiting us right now amongst other teams. Our average rating is low and theirs is top tier. Its on paper but paper is all we've got thats common. We are banking on a lot of risers or "diamonds in the rough" but they and others are getting highly rated athletes. This is the first full year of HS recruiting from Kelly's staff. I aint impressed yet.
You don't have to be impressed. Our guys know what they are looking for in players, and that kid up top in that picture was another low ranked kid they were looking for. LSU, through research, has been deemed the best producers of 3 star talent to the NFL. Our success rate with lower tier players is the best in the country, and the numbers show that, not just people talking out their arse.

In addition, we have many guys that have just really gotten their recruiting cranked up and Hurley who reclassified finished top 10 at the elite 11, though in the events he finished way higher. We are going to have several bumps including Evans who is damn near a top 100 guy on On3. Hurley should crack the top 200, and the WR Billiot will jump up too.

All in all, LSU should get a recruiting bump in ranks during the ranking updates.

Plus look at who we still have a chance to get. In 247 composite;

LSU is in the tops for 5 star Collin Simmons EDGE, 5 star Dominick McKinley DL, top 65 Dre'lon Miller WR, 101 Caden Durham RB, 114 Wardell Mack CB, 137 Tylen Singleton LB, 161 Jelani Watkins WR, 172 Jayln Crawford CB. That's 8 more guys that will push us to 26. Eights guys with a .93 or better rating.

They'll be some more OL guys in the fold too.

Florida
Florida just passed LSU in the 247 composite rankings. Fewer commitments but significantly higher overall average player ranking.

Alabama, Clemson, and USC are all behind us due to far fewer commitments (but have significantly higher averages). Once they all gain more commitments this could slip to a borderline top 10 class.

Every year on this board, we get a bunch of retards crying about getting jumped in the rankings. Every single year we have to see a different group of whiny bitches who don't understand recruiting is a marathon not a freaking sprint.

In the last 10 years, LSU has finished outside the top 7 only TWICE! One of them was a transition year where we finished 12th with just 15 commits, and FTR, everybody ahead of us had at least 6 more commits. Ohio St was the only team in the top 6 that year with less than 26 commits.

Stop complaining in June about something that won't be wrapped up until December at the earliest. There are still tons of elite players on LSU's board. That goes for all the chair hopping females in this thread.

I love the juco TE pickup. We all will love him on 3rd and short. Guy is going to hold his own in short yardage situations. I bet we run to his side!
