Please put this kid on invite list for summer camp, he is going to be better than Jordan Huff and I think Jordan is coming back to LSU camp this Summer
St. Paul's running back Ostin McPherson gets recognition from Sports Illustrated

Ostin McPherson runs for some of his 205 yards in a victory over rival UMS-Wright this season. (Staff photographer/G.M. Andrews)MOBILE, Alabama -- St. Paul's running back Ostin McPherson is getting some national attention for his strong performance against UMS-Wright.
McPherson is featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" feature in the magazine's Nov. 14 issue, which is now on newsstands. The magazine confirmed McPherson's inclusion today.
Here's what the magazine said about McPherson: “Ostin, an eighth-grade tailback at St.Paul’s Episcopal School, ran 27 times for 205 yards and three scores in his first-ever varsity start, a 36–6 win over archrival UMS-Wright Prep. He had been used only in spot duty in eight of the Saints’ first 10 games and was brought in after starter Jordan Huff suffered a season-ending knee injury. The 5' 7", 156-pound Ostin, who runs a 4.5-second 40-yard dash, has 118 carries for 747 yards and eight touchdowns, as well as one kickoff returned for a score, through Sunday.”
If Ostin McPherson (5'7/160) of St. Paul's Episcopal in Mobile keeps progressing the way he's started, it won't be another decade before the state produces another Cadillac Williams, but it might be close.
See McPherson is only an 8th grader at St. Paul's.
An 8th grader who rushed for over 200 yards and three touchdowns in his first varsity start against a good UMS-Wright team who is 8-4 on the season and still alive in the playoffs.

Kid is 16 years old. Not as exciting a prospect as I initially thought

Mobile belongs to Bama. Doesn't matter.

True. We got Corley, Jamarcus, Phelon. Then Saban took over.
I know the team is called "Alabama" but so much of their team comes from Mobile it's astounding: Barron, Julio (right across the bay), Fluker, McCarron, Lester, Fowler, Jarrick Williams.
They get who they want from Mobile. Even Auburn can't get in there. Saban built a damn good fence around that city.

Even though Bama owns Mobile, we have tightened up the wall even better in NOLA. We OWN NOLA.
For football talent: NOLA >>>>>>> Mobile already. Now after Katrina rebuilding is done we're gonna see NOLA become even more of a talent hotbed.
Leonard Fournette is much better. LA RBs literally grow on trees. We can't even take all of the good ones in state. LA produces the best DL, RB/ATH/WR, and DBs in the country, bar none. We just grow QBs and LBs worth a shite most years.

Not sure how it happened, but I go to UMS and my friends on the football team at St Paul's say he's 16 and drives to school.

That's false. I go to St. Paul's, and I'm certain that Ostin does not drive to school, nor is he 16. He did get held back one year, but it was only one year, not 2. So, technically he should be a freshman.

He also is somewhat of an LSU fan I think.

What's false is you acting like you are in school there!
